We had the most incredible stay at Mont Rochelle! We were staying for our honeymoon and it was our first stay in our 2 week trip and now that the 2 weeks is up I can confidently say that we stayed in 4 5* hotels during our stay in Cape Town and Mont Rochelle was by far the best, a league above the rest. We were very kindly upgraded to a suite for our honeymoon, the most beautiful room with the most incredible view of the mountains and surrounding landscape. The amenities and views with this room were brilliant, we cannot fault it, being upgraded to this beautiful room just gave us the most amazing start to our honeymoon, we were on cloud 9. The breakfast was lovely, food very fresh, we particularly enjoyed the yogurt and compote each morning with fresh fruit. We had the tasting menu at Miko which was incredible. The staff were incredible, all staff we encountered were very friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help, Winston who attended the pool bar was very attentive and friendly and always making sure we had what we needed. Sia who drove the transfers into the town was also very friendly and welcoming, sharing recommendations and knowledge about the surrounding area. this hotel really goes the extra mile to make this a special stay for guests This hotel is an experience in itself, it is the perfect hotel for honeymoon because you don’t have to even travel out of the hotel to get amazing relaxing experiences,

Our stay at Mont Rochelle was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel truly at home. A special thank you to Peter, the manager, whose attention and warmth made all the difference in our experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with every detail thoughtfully cared for, and the wine from the estate is simply outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

We stayed at Mont Rochelle for our 3 year wedding anniversary trip, and it was truly unforgettable. When planning, we narrowed our choices down to La Residence or Mont Rochelle, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. From the moment we arrived, we immediately felt the warmth and hospitality of the team. A special mention goes to Peter, whose energy and enthusiasm could be felt from the moment we met him—you could hear his voice from across the property, and his positivity instantly set the tone for our stay. He not only made us feel welcome but also gave us excellent recommendations for local wineries and even arranged a fantastic dinner reservation at Leeu Estate, which was a highlight of our trip. The property itself is absolutely stunning—surrounded by vineyards and mountains, it feels like a serene escape. Our room was beautiful and thoughtfully prepared with anniversary goodies from the manager, Annette, who also took the time to personally greet us at breakfast, which made the experience feel even more special. Every detail, from the attentive service to the relaxed yet elegant vibe, made our stay exceptional. We left feeling so cared for and already can’t wait to return—perhaps in the summer or during harvest season to experience Mont Rochelle in a different light.

This has to be one of my favourite hotels ever. Richard Branson does not disappoint with his focus on customer service and the details that elevate your stay. We were greeted with a cocktail and a tour of the facilities which included tennis courts, a gym, a pool and a spa. The rooms were stunning with a massive soaker tub and floor to ceiling doors opening to a private deck with a swing chair and loungers overlooking the hills of Franschook. There was a beautiful dining room overlooking the vineyards and breakfast was included with a large buffet and an à la carte menu. After Check out we were encouraged to stay and enjoy the property as long as we wished. We even rearranged our itinerary so we could spend more time there. The staff were very attentive and made us feel that anything we asked was possible.

Blissful time!

We had an amazing time at Mont Rochelle, we didn't need to think or lift a finger. The staff were always on hand to assist and help plan things, including wine tastings, dinner / lunch and much much more. We will definitely be going back one day!

Great hotel in a fab location.

Wonderful experience after the last hotel we stayed at. Friendly welcome, and the room and pool were as described. The photos were an accurate representation, unlike Steenberg Hotel and Spa hotel in Constantia. View of mountains from room is spectacular.

Honeymoon Stay- Mont Rochelle

We stayed at Mont Rochelle for the second stop of our honeymoon. We had previously come from Cape Town, and it was an easy one hour ish drive/Uber into Franschhoek. This place is absolutely gorgeous!!! We came during the winter months and the sunset over the vineyards and mountains were stunning. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The customer service here was top of the line. We were checked in by Peter and he helped us map our the activities and transportation required while we were staying at the hotel. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle that runs certain times of the day. This was such a great feature, as Ubers aren’t as common out in the winery areas. The check in process alone was so special, we checked in seated by the fire place, with a hot towel, and a glass of champagne. The staff truly made us feel special throughout our entire stay. The lobby has an old hotel kitty that hangs out and he is so cute and sleeps all day long by the fire. I want to be that kitty when I grow up. The rooms were so clean and decorated really well. We had one of the rooms on the main level that looked out to the mountains. The view alone was spectacular. We highly recommend staying at Mont Rochelle. You must stay here when visiting Franschhoek.

Mont Rochelle is truly a hidden gem. The staff are superb always welcoming and so helpful giving advice and ideas for planning your day. The free shuttle into town was a real bonus. We had a fantastic stay thank you to all staff at the Mont Rochelle.
