Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Reservation cancelled by the host at time of arrival after taking 2nd and final payment. Of course we arrived late to find that Cancun had been overbooked by all hosts, no rooms available anywhere and VRBO offering refunds but nowhere to stay. We tried rebooking on the VRBO site, Expedia and others but all showed properties which were not actually available. The VRBO guarantees do not help when there are no rooms available. We eventually found one private room for one night where we could double up. Will never get refunded for this emergency stay. No help from host or VRBO. Kept being put on hold and the help chat was useless. Now I am left to try to beg for refunds and compensations after VRBO and their site cost me the 1st 3 days of my vacation with Family. Very low confidence in using these sites ever again.
