"Hotel central AC was turned off, we were sweating the room. I was offered a different room on the assumption that the air would work there, just to find out from the maintenance guy that the whole thing was turned off and they were not allowed by management or owner to turn it on. Front desk offered a fan and said that if I opened the window it should be OK. Hotel is advertised with AC in the rooms, if they are not going to turn it on you should be adviced before making a reservation. Just like when a pool is closed for renovations for example. "
