We had an outstanding time staying at Citysider! The apartment was spotlessly clean with linen and towels provided. The apartment was spacious, easily roomy enough for a family with a large dinner table, and big sofa. The pool area is lovely, offering shade & a bbq area with several tables. The manger & his partner looked after us with directions and help, they were wonderful! Citysider is located close to the city, a 10-15 minute stroll to the central plaza where you’ll find everything you need, and from there the city is across the road!

Clean facility, great location, somewhat reasonable rates. Only issue was with check-in, where it was difficult to understand all of the information given in two minutes. Also could have used a bit more supplies in the unit, instead of having to keep going to the front desk. Nice to have the gated entrance.

Friendly and welcoming host. Apartment was clean and fresh linen and towels provided. Very basic accommodation in terms of what is provided to guests. We understood that it’s self catering but there are very few utensils and equipment which makes it hard eg. no baking tray for the oven, not much cutlery and crockery, hardly any tools to cook with, no washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets or left over condiments, oil, foil or cling film etc so needed to buy everything. What’s there is old or basic.

Apartment was spotless with all amenities including a/c not just kitchen but also in the bedrooms. Close to Eaplanade only 5min by car. Owners extrememy helpful. He also took my large heavy luggage up the stairs 🙂

We had a perfect stay at Citysider Holiday Apartments! The apartments were very spacious and ideal for our family with small children. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. While the location isn’t the most central, everything is still within walking distance if you don’t mind a bit of a walk. A special thanks to Manager Heinrich – he was incredibly helpful and friendly, truly going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Heinrich and his wife were great hosts. Beautiful clean apartments close to the Esplanade. We stored our baggage with them when we arrived and before leaving as our flights arrived early and left late. They gave us really great local recommendations for trips and local fresh barramundi. The apartment is gated for extra security and is well stocked with a kitchen, tea, coffee and the essentials. It was a lovely week in Cairns.

Good value for money!

We had a very comfortable apartment, albeit a bit dated but perfectly functional. The saltwater pool is a gem and the garden areas beautifully landscaped. It was a little out of the centre of Cairns and with no nearby public transport that could be a problem for some.

The room/building we stayed in had many repairs that needed to be done and things that should have been better cleaned. Examples: water gutter above our unit had rusted and had several chunks missing, so the water came down as a waterfall right outside our window when it rained. The ceiling fan in one room creaked when we turned it on. There were mold spots behind the pillows on one bed, and of the towels we were provided with, some had stains in them. However, the kitchen, washer, and dryer worked as they should and were very useful. The location is great, as it is in a quieter area outside of the city center, but still close enough for a 20 minute walk to get there. For the price, the stay was decent enough. You get what you pay for.

This was a great place to travel with children. The manager was friendly and courteous and the children missed him. We were planning to go to Fitzroy Island for two nights and return to this apartment again, and despite our urgent request to leave our luggage for two nights, they were willing to accommodate us. Moreover, they made adjustments so that I could leave it in the room. Thank you very much!!
