Villa w / private pool (with 23700 m2 of green areas) at 40Km from PORTO

"We had a fantastic holiday here and the villa was more than we could have hoped for. Alvaro gave us a very warm welcome and a tour of the villa despite our late arrival (10.20pm) and was even kind enough to let us know where we would be able to buy groceries along the way.The villa is very spacious, with lots of seating dotted around the place. The large glass doors across the front of the living area and the bedrooms really make it feel even more spacious. The villa and the grounds are completely secluded, so it truly felt completely private. The views across the valley to Marco de Canaveses are fantastic, both from the patio area and the large balconies outside all of the bedrooms. There is air con in the two largest bedrooms and ceiling fans in the other two.The pool and surrounding garden are very pleasant and we spent a large amount of our time either in the pool or lounging beside it, either in the sun or under the very well placed mature trees. Before we arrived we were concerned the pool might be a bit small based on the photos, but it was perfect, with enough room for the 5 of us without it feeling cramped.We had anticipated spending time walking around the grounds, but so much of the property is so steep this wasn't really viable. However it was lovely being surrounded by trees and wildlife.The only disappointment was the bath in the main bedroom, which has been decommissioned at some point and the taps removed."

"If I could rate it a million stars, I would! This is the perfect, peaceful quiet Portuguese experience. We stayed here because it was close to the wedding venue we were attending. The staff were all so kind and helpful, the pool was the perfect cool temperature with plenty of lounge set for everyone, and the grounds were gorgeous. You can hear chickens and church bells, walked on the cobblestone, and it was very relaxing. There's even a little chapel that I degree not taking photographs of because it was really pretty. Our room looked newly renovated with a huge bathroom and spacious closet for a hotel. The food was good and there's some this for everyone - even for me as a celiac. We will definitely be back next time we come here."

"The property was renovated, very clean, great amenities, very easy to check in and check out, all automatically. The only thing we would highlight is, because it's right in front of a church, be prepared to be woken up at 7am with the bells, we certainly couldn't sleep in the morning. "

"We had a lovely 2 weeks at this wonderful property. We were 11 travellers ranging from 19 to 83 years old. The house had everything we wanted and we all loved the facilities. Whether you just want to sit and admire the view, use the pool or have table tennis or pool competitions, this house was perfect for everyone! Miguel was a fantastic host and was very attentive and quick to reply to our questions. We were very appreciative of his quick response to an incident we had one morning with the issue being resolved swiftly. Miquel gave us many recommendations. We particularly enjoyed the sunset cruise on the River Douro organised by his brother. We would highly recommend this house for a wonderful holiday. We could easily have stayed for a month! "
