"We had a wonderful stay! This house definitely gives that cozy cabin feel while also being spacious. We've never had a rental with such a large bedroom! It’s built for views from every room, and the huge screened in porch and outdoor deck get you into the trees. The kitchen was ready for all our needs. Windows on all sides were opened wide for breezes and forest sounds as we slept. The CD collection encouraged us to stay unplugged. But the biggest highlight was the birdfeeders. Keep them filled with seed (it's supplied), and look up a hummingbird nectar recipe - you won't be disappointed!As for the Host - Mr Childs is a Champ! This is not just a rental, it's a place he and his family love and he cares about your guest experience. He went way beyond to assist with every question or need. And he's got lots of area facts and tips if you are interested. Bottom line, he is a super nice person!Special shout out to the Cedar Mountain community, which is small but mighty. If you wonder about being away from a larger town, don't worry! Benefits are being literally in the forest (DuPont), within a very welcoming community, that has just enough amenities from artisan's shops to food and drink. The Cdr. Mtn. Cafe (very good, very fresh food), Outpost (beer, food, pizza, provisions, events), and Distillery (especially for Friday evening bands and moonshine slushies) all do a great job."

"Our family really enjoyed staying in your home! It was very clean, extremely well appointed with everything we needed and the decor was beautiful! It was located in the perfect area for our activities we attended for a wedding at The Pretty Place. The only complaint we had was we just didn’t get to stay long enough! We definitely want to visit this area again and would absolutely love to stay here again."

"The property was convenient for everything we wanted to do. The yard was perfect for our 2year old black lab. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Only issue was the refrigerator is noisy, so if you're a lite sleeper it could be annoying. Otherwise we had a great time despite the rain!! Thanks!"

"This was our 4th stay at Ray's place with our furbabies. We always enjoy how quiet and peaceful it is to be in the middle of the woods. We really enjoy the small waterfall and creek as well. The front porch and back deck are both covered so you can relax and enjoy the scenery even in rain or snow.The house itself is very comfortable and roomy. We only use the main level, which has the master bedroom, but the upstairs is also very nice with its own bath. The kitchen is very clean and stocked with everything you need for cooking, including small appliances. We always stop on our way in to stock up on food for the stay. Ingles is about 10 miles away. There is also a Dollar General 2.5 miles away. There is also Cedar Mtn Outpost less than 5 miles that serves pizza, sandwiches, craft beers and wine.We have definitely made this place a regular getaway."
