"The bed was comfortable and the sheets soft. Everything was clean but quite a bit was worn or dingy. Washcloths with makeup stains, laundry detergent stain on the bed sheets, pretty awful overhead lighting, etc. The location is great and the ability to control the temp in both the living and sleeping areas was perfect! It’s quiet, roomy, and comfortable, so I’d absolutely stay here again. It’s not fancy, but it’s good."
"This is a very special spot. Perfectly equipped cottage with its own quite private Superior beach, fire pit overlooking the lake (bring your own wood!), propane grill, and laundry on site. Super easy access to Whitefish Point, Shipwreck Museum and Tahquamenon Falls, plus Paradise has a lot of nice places to eat and drink. Great hosts who communicated well."
"The home was very nice and well setup. Great view of the lake. Lots of nice waterfalls and restaurants. Had a fun time at the black bear rehabilitation ranch!"
"The house is beautiful! Great location in the trees by the lake. Note that you cannot easily access the lake from the property due to a cliff of boulders, which was the only downside. We really enjoyed the house, including the beautiful primary bedroom upstairs. Everything is well-stocked for your stay.We visited in summer and the power went out multiple times. We contacted the owner and he got back to us fairly quickly with instructions to turn on the gas generator in the garage, which powers a portion of the house."
Studio On Lake Superior near Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon Falls
10/10 Excellent
"The location is perfect - right on Lake Superior. Sitting by the lake with morning coffee and evening wine & campfire was very peaceful. Place is just as described, which fit our (and our dog’s) needs. We did not find the highway in front of place was an issue at all. Great base camp for exploring Tahquamenon Falls S.P. and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, which is fascinating. We agree the Wheelhouse Diner is best place to eat. Host was quick to respond to my questions, as well."
Remodeled 4 bedroom home in downtown Paradise next to our Fresh Coast Cafe'.
8/10 Good
"Everything about the trip went fine. Make sure you pay for insurance before booking this property! The owner of the house was very quick and helpful when I met him, but we just found out today. There was an insurance claim for several hundred dollars for damages that were not legitimate. We left the house in similar condition , wiped everything down and did not break any furniture or clocks.Separate from that, the trip went well, and it is very close to lots of commercial businesses which can be a plus and a minus. The house was very efficient and we do not regret the stay- it even had a Blackstone, which I was not aware of before we got there so that was a little bonus."
