The resort itself is a bit dated but suited our needs having family, couples and single rooms available with everyone having a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The parking fee was NZD 49 per night, which felt expensive at first, but since the car could be left for 24 hours as long as it was not taken out, I found that acceptable.
The shower water pressure was slightly low—just barely within an acceptable range.
When we arrived, nearby supermarkets were already closed, and there was no complimentary water provided by the hotel. As a result, we used the room service minibar to order water. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing.
We waited for over 40 minutes while unpacking, but the order never arrived. After calling, the water was brought almost immediately; however, it was not the item shown on the ordering screen. The online menu indicated a 750 ml bottle, but what we received was only 500 ml.
I raised this issue with the front desk and was told that the 750 ml bottles were sold out. However, I find it unacceptable that the ordering system continues to display a 750 ml product when it is not actually available. A difference of 250 ml is significant, and charging the same price for a smaller bottle does not seem reasonable.
Overall, while the basic facilities and check-in process were satisfactory, the management of room service and the accuracy of product descriptions clearly require improvement."
