"We had rented another home nearby but upon our arrival we discovered it was nothing as advertised. We needed to find another accommodation for the week quickly as it was already heading into the evening ours and we had tired and cranky kids. We contacted Mr. Toom to see if we could rent this beautiful home last minute, he agreed and was gracious enough to not only let us check in within the hour but also allowed us to extend our stay past our original check out date, then offered us an extra day on top of that. Our family and the family we were traveling with were so grateful for his generosity. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the house was beautiful, very clean, spacious and very well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The added bonus was all of the fire wood provided for the awesome fire pit on the property where we all enjoyed smores and staying warm on a snowy night. Overall our stay was even better than we anticipated and we owe it all to Mr. Toom. "

"The place was just as described! The most comfortable beds which were wonderful after a day of hiking. Amazing setting in the woods. Very clean. Comfortable. I would use it again!Communication was outstanding. Very responsive. Everything was very easy due to the clear and concise messages."

"Room was not clean. It was so incredibly dusty. Just very half done housekeeping. The shower curtain also filthy. But honestly the location and views really took this hotel above and beyond. "

"This Home was spacious and had a wonderful view. The community of Big Canoe had many activities such as well marked trails, dog parks, playgrounds and pool. The home needed better supplies for the large number of guests. The kitchen supplies could be updated such as pots, casserole dishes and utensils. They only provide one set of towels per guest which they did communicate with us but it would be nice to have been given a few extra. There were no dish towels. We had to purchase. The oven door did not close properly. The hot water heater ran out of hot water quickly after just washing dishes or 1 shower. The lower level shower never really did get hot only warm. All in all the hot water heater needs to be changed to larger to accolade the large home. We did adapt after a few days by staggering shower times. The Jack/Jill pocket door did not lock. The kids playroom/game room was a bonus and enjoyed by my grandkids. The media/Movie room was a treat and easy to use. The hot tub was functional and clean! All in all, I would recommend this rental with the improvements needed to accommodate a large family group. The rental agent did come out and respond to our concerns about the hot water situation. We had a fabulous family Christmas and enjoyed hiking on Big Canoe trails, the fabulous views and visiting Dahlonega and Amicalola Falls State Park."
