The staff make this hotel the best in the city. They were all so good and helpful. Would recommend to anyone visiting Buhkara. The restaurant was amazing! We had the best time here
The hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient for the Bukhara’s historical area. The staff were very efficient and helpful and the food in the restaurant was good quality.
We had an amazing stay at this hotel. Quiet, clean, and hospitable staff. Quick laundry service, great spa and pool, but very pricey restaurant. It's a decent walk to the old city, but we appreciated the lack of tourist traffic in the area.
Mercure Bukhara Old Town is an excellent hotel very close to Bukhara’s magical old town…staff were great and facilities equally so! Room was comfortable and restaurant was great! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Bukhara!
Very nice hotel and top service. We were in honeymoon and they decorated the room for us and sent us cake.
The Spa and Turkish bath are very beautiful there too.
Highly recommended!
We had an excellent experience at the Mercure. The hotel is brand new and beautiful - it combines modern amenities with classic Uzbek art and architecture. The food was delicious, and the hotel was walking distance from all of the main sites in Bukhara. The spa was absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back next time we are in Bukhara!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
We were disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep of the pool and spa area. The pool was also shut down during our stay and we were unable to use it. One of the main reasons we booked the hotel was to use the pool and spa, so this tainted our experience.
The restaurant, Saffron, is amazing, both in terms of food and staff. Some of our best eats in Bukhara were here and would highly recommend.
The city is a beautiful city and the hotel is a good hotel is very clean. They have a very good Frankfurst. However, there is a little far from the main tourist area you have to walk probably about 15 minutes and the roads are very narrow so it’s a problem with the cars to be walking to the tourist area That’s the only thing that it was inconvenient. Otherwise it’s a good hotel the rooms are slightly small.
The hotel itself was amazing with great amenities and with a modern touch but with a very traditional feel. The hotel it’s 15 min walk from the old town which is perfect for a morning stroll or before the sunset.
The staff it’s super helpful and always willing to help with and with a huge smile.
The room was beautiful modern and quiet although the window was very thin covered by massive curtains, we didn’t mind as the room was cooler during the 40 degree we were having outside.
The spa is very nice and quiet same as the pool although would’ve been nicer outside but indoor it’s not too bad.
The food served for breakfast it’s very tasty and well presented same as if you stay for dinner or lunch with good views of the city
Totally recommend to stay here!
This was a really nice hotel, with a really well designed interior and plenty of external areas to relax, including a useful rooftop terrace next to the bar/restaurant.
Our room was very large with all the amenities you’d expect, a comfortable bed and a very good shower.
We didn’t have breakfast while here but the food in the restaurant for other meals was very good, as were the drinks we had.
The staff in the restaurant/bar and other areas were also all very helpful with good standards of English.
The location is a little out of the old town but seemed very safe and it worked well for us as we could walk (or short/cheap Yandex) and retreat to the peace of the hotel after sightseeing.
We would use again for Bukhara and recommend.
We got upgraded to a suite which came with some nice perks: free minibar, big terrace, a lot of space. There was a kettle/coffee machine and free water bottles. The toiletries were provided as well, more available upon request. Unfortunately the room was terribly cold as heating was only working as a cooler and there was no possibility to even switch the bathroom ventillation off. The huge room would have been a wonderful add-on but if it’s cold, the bigger room, the colder it is. Even if it was a suite, there was no iron. Maybe it was available upon request but we didn’t have time to waste as we only had one full day in Bukhara.
Breakfast was great in 99%, the only complaint goes to the bread selection, mostly super old and dry like stone, pre-cut and very oddly served. Otherwise a good selection of food and even coffee was good, which isn’t that obvious in Uzbekistan.
Spa area is beautiful and the pool water temperature is pleasant. There are no instructions next to the sauna/hammam how to use it (there are some rules at the spa entrance) and which temperatures are inside, therefore the guests who were there used it in such a disgusting way that we lost desire to go there as well (no towels, no shower after sauna, going with all the sweat directly to the pool etc.). After they left and we remained alone, even if there was still 1 hour until the closing, both facilities were switched off, probably due to savings.
I would definitely go back but only during a warm season.
