" Amazing Staff Hampered by Significant Management Failures I have mixed feelings about our stay. On one hand, the employees were terrific—hardworking, welcoming, and truly dedicated to service. However, the resort is severely poorly managed. We faced daily shortages of basic essentials: no beach towels, pool chairs, bath towels, or even shampoo. The supply issues extended to the bars and restaurants, which were constantly out of staples like coffee, beer, and specific menu items. The staff does their best, but management is failing to provide them with the tools to run a functional resort. I would not stay here again. "

"Luis was very friendly and responsive. The yard is nice and big and the pool is deep and fun for the kids. The location is great - we didn't walk to the beach but it is a short drive with a lot of parking. Had howler monkeys, iguanas, and hummingbirds in the yard which was great. The yard and house could use some TLC vs. what was pictured. The doors to the house didn't quite seal so we had insects in the house, more than we'd expect, so that was not ideal. Other than that, the house was very clean. The yard could use some maintenance, especially compared to the pictures that we were expecting. "

"Blue Iguana in Costa Rica was such a nice surprise. The location’s perfect—close to the action, but still relaxed. Staff were really warm and helpful, always smiling and welcoming. Food was great—fresh and delicious. Everything felt clean and comfortable. Loved the easy, laid-back feel. I’d definitely recommend and I look forward to returning! "

"Extremely secure and secluded. Villa to villa distance is quite far and we could not see or hear anyone else. Grounds are very large, beach is pretty much private but you should know it’s a bit of a walk from some of the villas around to the restaurant and beach. Private pool was very nice and overall good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and very easy to communicate with, 10/10 for the staff! "

"The room was in the basement with no hot water, small, and dark. The pool was the size of a large bathtub, and all small clean little prison compound. It would of suffice for a night or two, for about a 1/4 of the price i paid. But at $160 a night, it sucked. Worst hotel.com place ive ever stayed in Costa Rica."

"Property was kid friendly. The pool, as well as the landscaping is amazing! We most definitely would stay here again. Perfect location to downtown, close enough to walk to, but just far enough away from the noise. "
