"A little gem nestled in the countryside with glorious views. Lucy’s apartment was spotlessly clean and tidy, comfortable and very well equipped. Lucy is an absolute hoot- very welcoming and full of suggestions of things to see or do. Perfect for dogs too, with a lovely enclosed garden and lots of walks from the location detailed in the information folder. Lots of lovely pubs nearby too including a local just across the way. We would definitely come back."

"We had a very pleasant stay at this spacious and comfortable home, which was well-suited for our larger group. The garden was a particular highlight, offering ample space and the added delight of fresh fruit to pick. The location is great, being within a short walking distance of the beach and sea (20mins). The property was generally tidy, there were a few spiderwebs which luckily didn't have any spiders. If these were removed it would enhance the experience. Parking proved somewhat challenging...

"Plenty of parking and the staff were very informative and professional both in the hotel and spa. The evening meal was nice but expensive in my opinion but breakfast was excellent value for money"

"Have stayed before and really like it here. Parking is handy, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. However, after visiting many times over the years, the lift is still out of order, so there is only 1 lift that holds (comfortably) 2 people at a time, serving the whole hotel. My disabled sister ended up having to hobble down 3 floors twice as she got fed up with waiting. it’s disappointing that the lifts are not being maintained properly. The staircases were regularly busy with people going up and down, and the day we stayed, a lot of the clientelle were elderly, so I would imagine there were a lot of people struggling with the lift situation. Overall, the breakfast is good with plenty of choice. However, please try your hash browns, they are not nice, and the scrambled egg which I’m guessing is made from powder has way too much fluid going on! A few simple changes could make this a 10/10."

"Mostly good. The room was really hot as you couldn’t open windows at night due to the noise from the road outside. The shower was ok. Toilet and sink separate from it. Towels could be a little bigger but were changed on request. Bed was fairly comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of tea and coffee. Staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful."

"Judy was exceptionally friendly and helpful. A ring was found that meant an awful lot to me. The hotel was a little tired around the edges in decor, but overall, it was not terribly expensive, with friendly staff and a nice breakfast. The room was very hot!. There are a lot of really poor hotels in Eastbourne. This is definitely one of the better ones."
