Totally refurbished, it offers relaxing holiday accommodation for families or couples with excellent walking in the Angus Glens almost on the doorstep. Arthur’s Cottage is close to amenities such as shops and eating places, as well as a quality parkland 18-hole golf course, which are all within a short stroll.

The village is part of the Victorian Heritage Trail which passes through Fettercairn with its gothic arch and local distillery (where tours can be taken) up through Cairn o’ Mount and into Royal Deeside, ending at Balmoral Castle. The clean sandy beaches at St Cyrus and Montrose are within easy reach or if you prefer, travel a little further afield to St Andrews, Dundee or Perth for more varied days out. There is ample fishing and golf in the area as well as some good eating places or why not visit some of the stately homes, notably Glamis Castle or Scone Palace near Perth. Beach 12 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
