The space
Previously Bournemouth’s most historic hotel, the immaculate Tudor Grange mansion boasts 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms on a sprawling estate set in secluded gardens on Bournemouth’s east cliff, making it ideal for large groups, weddings, and corporate events. With ornate ceilings, oak paneling, and large fireplaces throughout, it was immaculately designed in an authentic Tudor style.

One of the classic long-established bed-and-breakfasts in Bournemouth, and a favorite of the Bournemouth Tourism industry, the Tudor Grange Hotel was built in 1927 using materials from an original Tudor mansion. Any new materials were made to full Tudor specifications, resulting in a truly unique historic home.

As soon as you enter the grand entrance hall, you will be greeted by an overwhelming sense of elegance. From an opulent chandelier and warm hearth to dark wood paneling and a regal staircase bathed in sunlight, the authentic style of Tudor Grange is a work of art that carries throughout the home, from hallways adorned with chandeliers and gleaming wood floors to living spaces designed with high-end furnishings.

The spacious main living room is warm and welcoming, with cozy wood paneling, intricate detail on the ceiling, and large windows bathing the space with natural light. The living area is divided into two seating areas – one with elegant sofas and armchairs anchored around a fireplace and large flatscreen TV, and the other with plush armchairs set around a table, perfect for card games or intimate conversation.

Tucked away from the entertaining spaces is an updated, fully-stocked kitchen, which is light and bright, with two cooktops, two ovens, two sinks, and all the small appliances one could need. When you’re hosting events at Tudor Grange, it’s easy for the catering to take place behind the scenes, just as it’s easy to enjoy cooking breakfast yourself on sunny mornings before the beach.

A one-of-a-kind arched ceiling with incredible gold detail, wood-paneled walls, a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling bay windows, and two long banquet tables that seat 24 – the dining room is perfect for any occasion, whether that be a formal dinner, corporate meetings, or a lovely breakfast for you and your guests.

As you enter Tudor Grange, you’ll be greeted by a large manicured lawn, where your guests might be chatting on a bench in the shade, enjoying tea at a patio table, or greeting you from the Romeo and Juliet balcony overlooking the garden. Around the side, a sunny patio is surrounded by trees for ultimate privacy, with a cushioned outdoor sectional and bubbling hot tub. There is even a swingset nestled in the trees, making the perfect shady place for children to play.

And the outdoor space is extended by Tudor Grange’s proximity to beautiful Bournemouth Beach, which provides endless entertainment along seven miles of stunning coastline, and the town centre, where restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and boutiques are waiting to be explored.
Other things to note
• No pets. No smoking/vaping.

• Events allowed – and encouraged! Whether a corporate event or wedding, we can help with the planning and arrangements. There is an option to hire a marquee for a wedding of up to 60-100 people for an additional cost.

• We can also arrange catering. We work with several fantastic event planners, who offer a range of options starting at £100 per head. Please inquire for more information and costs.

• Due to local noise ordinances and respect for our neighbour’s, noise levels for any events must be low after 8pm, with a strict rule of 10pm.

• Due to its status as a historical building, some of the doors in Tudor Grange are original and you might find that some hinges or locks are a bit stiff. We hope you love the historical detail as much as we do.

• Please note that the small cottage located on the premises is not included in the listing, and occasionally, the caretaker or owner may need to access it. Rest assured, we are committed to respecting your privacy and will ensure minimal disruption during your stay.


• Lost/forgotten keys incur a replacement fee; the minimum charge is £150
• Unauthorized early check-in and late check-out charge is £250 plus the equivalent amount of the night(s) impacted
