Treetop cabin by the river

A very private and charming cottage by the Langá river in west Iceland. Enclosed by natural vegetation with a beautiful view of the mountains to the north. Whether you are looking to explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula or all the wonders that Borgarfjörður has to offer or just relax and listen to the birds and the bees, this is the perfect place.

This is our home away from home and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

For us, it is the perfect location, just one hour drive from the capital. When there, we tend to spend most if our time relaxing and enjoying the ever changing views. Early evening we soak in the hot tub - listening to the calming sounds of the river and birds singing.

The house is situated in a large private woodland overlooking the Langá salmon river in Borgarfjörður, West Iceland.

From the private parking lot, you will walk a short path up to the large veranda that surrounds the house and has treetop views over the river towards the beautiful mountain range in the north. There you will also find the hot tub, outdoor furniture for dining and grill/barbecue.

The main house has a living room, kitchen, dining area, a small office and three bedrooms.

The living room is very cosy - especially when the weather calls for it. There is a high definition Smart TV with Netflix and Disney apps as well as a Chromecast. Kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher and complimentary coffee and tea.

There are two main bedrooms suitable for two adults each and a smaller one for a single adult but could accommodate two smaller persons.

The bathroom has a newly installed shower and has a hair dryer as well as towels, soaps and shampoos.

In the smaller utility house we have a washer and a dryer closet with ironing equipment as well as extra towels and linens.

There is high speed Wifi available inside and outside the house.
