We had an amazing stay at La Finestra Sul Canale! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and offered great suggestions for things to do in the city. The space was very clean and we felt very safe. We would definitely recommend it and hope to come again!

The bathroom was the highlight. Spacious and modern. We could walk to all the best areas from the room. Its more like a hotel room than an apartment, which suited us. And getting to and from major transport in 10 to 15 minutes suited us.

This is a fantastic property for a stay in Bologna. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and bathrooms, walking distance to train station and all major sites in Bologna. Minutes away from great restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend!!

Great location, great communication, average room

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shutters were amazing - totally black out. Location was excellent. Was very quiet from outside, but could hear a lot from inside. Earplugs recommended. The Aircon was also facing the bed, which made me ill as the air was blowing on my face all night :(

Lucca checked us in on time and was very welcoming. He gave us spot on recommendations where to dine. They were all local faves and though long lines could form and very busy, it was worth the wait. B&B is very clean and modern. Next door to the B&B is a cafe which served very good coffee and pastries - a great option and the barista was very nice. The B&B is close to everything: restaurants, the centro, the Bologna Centrale train station and just a couple of blocks is a Gelateria that is so popular among the locals. The location of the B&B is always bustling with locals and tourists alike. It’s so alive! We would definitely stay here again.

This locations was great. We had 4 people in two rooms and we were able to drop our bags off early in common area lockers. The rooms were clean the facilities were brand new. We got some great recommendations from our host and met her cute dog! Would stay again *****

Really Good

We stayed just one night. Hotel was really easy to access and close to restaurants, bars and main streets. The hotel is in the apartment has 4 or more separate rooms with its own bathrooms inside it. Lady in the hotel was really nice and helpful. She gave us some tips about the city. Room was clean not so big but quite enough. We were able to leave our luggage until our departure time. Overall I can recommend this hotel to stay in.

Poor communication

I’m not giving 5 star because of poor communication by hosts. No one came to welcome us despite the site stating so, I had to call to find out that nobody was coming. Further queries got an-answered. Despite all that the room is in a good central position, it was clean and comfortable. The lady cleaner was lovely. BTW, our room was not facing the canal, but the street so bring your earplugs as you can hear people chatting until very late.

Warm welcome. We arrived early but were able to leave our luggage in a locker until check-in. No problems leaving luggage between check-out and train either. Not all rooms have a canal view, by the way. Comfortable room.

Clean and modern, great location

A bit hard to find at first, but from then on it was all positive. Room was normal sized, clean and modern. AC did its job. Location is actually really good - close to the touristy areas like the Piazza Maggiore, but not too close, so the restaurants nearby are good and didn't feel like tourist traps. Walkable from the train station, took us about 12 minutes.
