Excellent

We stayed for one night with our dog. A lovely hotel by a small, beautiful lake. Nice walks with our dog. Very dog friendly. Very nice restaurant in which we enjoyed a tasty dinner and very good breakfast.

Vi havde to overnatninger her. Hotellet er hyggeligt. Og ligger smukt i naturen. Vi satte især stor pris på den gode seng og nok de bedste hotel hovedpuder vi har prøvet :)) Vi kommer gerne igen.

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel, lovely surroundings, and outstanding service. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant in front of an open fire. the breakfast was really good. The room was a little chilly. We will be back when the weather is better to take in the lovely surroundings.

Blev der gerne noget længere 😊

Fantastisk smukt sted. Fint værelse med naturudsigt, lækkert sengetøj, god restaurant. Yderst serviceminded personale. Vi savnede kun håndsprit (ikke mindst ved buffeten). Og undrede os over den manglende udluftning på værelsets lille (adskilte) toilet

Sehr aparte Bleibe mit viel Charm eingerichtet und nahezu allem, was einem den Aufenthalt angenehm macht. Steigerungsfähig wäre eine etwas größere Auswahl bei den Speisen und Mückenschutz vor den Fenstern. Doch das angenehme Ambiente und Entspannug in der sehr schönen Sauna macht dies wett.

Hotel is right on a lake in the German Countryside. It has a lakehouse feel and would be perfect for a romantic retreat. I stayed on business. The room was clean and spacious for the very reasonable price. Breakfasts were wonderful and thier applecrisp was a little piece of my childhood delivered on a plate.

We booked the spa suite and really enjoyed it despite arriving very late and having limited time. The staff went out of their way to help make it a nice stay. Waiting for us to arrive at 11pm and having a delicious and big salad ready for us despite the kitchen being closed. They gave us a later check out time (the room wasn’t booked the next day) so that we could still enjoy the suite. The location is made for a relaxing morning. Beautiful walking trail around the lake before a good breakfast. The only improvements we’d suggest would be more vegan breakfast options (dairy free milk etc), slippers in the spa suite and blackout curtains.

Nice country stay

Only significant down side of stay was two consecutive nights with wedding parties at the hotel. Impact was restaurant was closed both nights (one if the reason I booked here was the positive reviews). We were not informed in advance and found out at check in. First night noise did not cut out ‘till 3.30am. Second night no problem, party was in the Boat House. It is a nice property near Hamburg if you don’t want to deal with the city. Many good day Ning alternatives nearby. Staff friendly and helpful.

This was our second stay at the hotel. We still overall enjoyed it but we‘ll book more carefully in the future. There was a wedding taking place and luckily we had booked a room with garden view - which was the furthest away from the party. Upon arrival we were shocked by the wedding celebration. You enter reception area and are straight away engulfed by the noise and in this particular case smoke machine clouds. I was about to turn around and leave. Luckily I checked our room out first and in fairness it was quiet there. Would we have booked the room we had before, we would have been screwed. I personally think the hotel should be exclusively reserved for a wedding if it takes over the whole main building. Eating there was out of the question for us. It also felt bizarre that we just luckily booked the right room away from the event and that the staff very much said it’s our responsibility to make sure we booked the appropriate one. They send you an email after you booked your stay. Half the time I don’t read welcome emails, but what good is it at that point anyway? You already booked your stay. I feel like the hotel should call you to confirm that there is a wedding happening and offer a cancellation. And only make rooms available to book that are furthest away and unaffected in the first place. The next morning was perfectly fine. Breakfast and a walk in the lovely surrounding area was unaffected. We would come back but only if there is no wedding.
