In this accommodation you can breathe easily: relax with your whole family!
Enjoy a natural sunrise, a walk through the forest during the day, and an incredible sunset with the best view in the area. Ecological trails are just 5 minutes away, and hundreds of years of history thanks to the royal roads 10 minutes from the accommodation.
With a rustic style, this house in the middle of nature offers guests access to the entire house and the surrounding green areas. You can also go to the deck with an incredible view which is ideal for appreciating sunsets.
The Hacienda Nebraska cabin is surrounded by nature and is perfect for families or friends, as it accommodates groups of up to 10. It has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a space for barbecues/grills, a full kitchen, and a deck with a forest view.
It is a modest cabin, with a rustic style, in the middle of nature and that is part of a traditional dairy farm in the area (Hacienda Nebraska), which makes it the perfect place to learn a little about the dairy and the work of the Colombian peasant dedicated to this task.
We have made a great effort to adapt the accommodation so that your stay is pleasant, and you will find heaters in the rooms and blankets for guests. As in most of the Zipacón territory, you will have cold weather throughout the year, and it is common for it to rain at some point, but as long as you bring a good coat and a pair of pantanera boots, you will be fine. The fireplace in the living room will help keep the cabin warm.
The cottage has three good-sized bedrooms—the first, with a double bed and a single one. The second has two cabins, where the young people in the family usually stay. The third offers a semi-double bed and two places, which provides space for 5 or 6 people to keep quiet. In total, the area is enabled to sleep up to 10 people.
The kitchen is fully equipped, so it should be like this to cook for ten people quietly. It has a refrigerator, sandwich maker, air fryer, blender, microwave, gas oven, four-burner gas stove, and dishwasher. The charcoal or wood grill can be used outside the cabin for other preparations. We are lovers of good coffee and its preparation methods, so you will find a French press and a coffee bean grinder. If you prefer something faster, you can also find a traditional coffee maker, teas, and infusions of different flavors. We provide our guests with plates, cutlery, glasses, cooking utensils, and a barbecue kit.
The photos you see in our post are not 100% accurate, as we are constantly moving things from their sites or making improvements for the benefit of our guests. However, the photos would give you an idea of how the cabin is decorated. We want our publication and pictures to show the reality of our house, and we try to do so, so keep in mind that you will not find luxuries in this accommodation. This is an old, rustic cabin in excellent condition, adapted for vacation stays in the middle of the countryside and nature and all that this entails, such as animals, insects, and even the daily tasks of a dairy farm. Don't be surprised if you hear the dogs barking at the tractor carrying the milk!
If you think the rates are a bit high, remember that when you book the cabin, you have more than that. You will have the privilege of accessing places to walk within the property, a frog game, some board games, a basketball backboard, a volleyball/badminton net, a croquet game, and space to play, read, walk, sing, dance, meditate, do yoga, or whatever you can think of outdoors. You also have easy access to activities offered in the area at an additional cost, such as ecological walks, ecotourism, horseback riding, mountain biking, climbing biking, afternoon milking, bird watching, and many more adventures offered in the region. Please ask us, and we'll give you more information.
We recommend you come warm and wear swamp boots if you want to bring them. Additionally, think of a change of clothes in addition to what you would typically take to a place like this. Rain is expected in the region, and we want you to enjoy the activities that can be done even when it rains. Also, bring sunscreen, bug spray, a first aid kit with the basics, and a hat, and in case I didn't mention it before, you should get a coat and a pair of booties ;).
