Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw. Hope to come back again; really a stunning spot.

Fabulous stay at the Horn of Plenty! A beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and amenities. Food was wonderful and beautifully presented. Woukd highly recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Very clean and magnificent golf course. Evening good was plentiful and delicious, as was the breakfast.

No air conditioning.

We had a Lovely stay at the Great Trethow Manor. Site is just gorgeous, building is very pretty, room was spacious, beds were very comfortable and we had a nice breakfast in the a.m. So thankful they advertise via Hotels.com or we never would have found this place!

One night stay to visit Port Isaac (setting for Doc Martin). Excellent hotel/room. Excellent owner/staff, very accommodating and helpful, organised evening dinner at nearby pub. Also advised us to visit Boscastle before returning to Gatwick,we did and found it to be a "treasure", excellent seaside fishing village. (better than Port Isaac!)

What a fantastic hotel. I have walked past this hotel on holidays to Cornwall most of my life but this was the first time I actually stayed in a hotel in the local area. I am pleased I picked the Carlyon Bay Hotel. Not only does the hotel seem to beam old world charm, it is the epitome of a classy environment with staff that will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and are a pleasure to deal with. This is a charming hotel with spectacular views over the historical harbor. We had a beautiful view room with an open deck and lovely furnishings. The breakfast was very good and the dining room with views over the harbor where you could watch the sailboats and fishing boats going in and out of the harbor. Little boutique hotel slap bang on the slipway of the tiny bay with gorgeous view from the bar/restaurant. Attentive staff, excellent food both for breakfast and dinner. Cosy yet light and airy, contemporary feel without losing touch of the fact that's it is in a tiny fishing village. We chose the Bedruthan for a long weekend get together with our large family. It turned out to be a very enjoyable stay. The kids took surfing lessons and loved the waves. Mum had a massage and facial at the spa. The staff were genuinely friendly and went to great lengths to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Well kept hotel with charm and style. Elegant feel and good quality accommodations. Small rooms - but all English hotel rooms seem a little tight to this American. The staff was very very friendly and gave us great suggestions for dining out. Padstow is a gem - please don't tell anyone - I'd like to keep it a secret!

The location of this property is unbeatable. Close to the ocean and an easy walk to downtown. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I liked the parking which had a cost but was very convenient. They need to do a bit of work on the place. There was some areas in the room that needed painting and plaster work. The shower and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was very good.

Enjoyed our stay here - esp the heated pool, the restaurant and the quiet room, comfortable bed.
