My friends and I stayed at this cabin for a quick girls weekend. The cabin was the pristine and had the most amazing views. We loved that it was in a gated "community" of cabins yet felt secluded enough to have our own space. The welcome gift left for us was a great touch as well. Each bedroom was on it's own floor so definitely spacious for those that need their time alone!
My family stayed here during spring break and we loved it!! The view is amazing and it was so relaxing. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The steep driveway was the only intimidating oart but we did okay. Wonderful place!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Removing the built-up leaves made it a bit easier getting up the steep incline of the driveway. It is a beautiful place.
Spent the weekend at Skyline for my wife and my anniversary and had an incredible weekend. Can’t beat the views and privacy! Communication with company was quick and helpful. We will definitely be booking again.
The booking process all the way to checking out was so smooth and easy. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous. The only thing that scared us was the steep driveway. We had an amazing time.
Exceptional home with beautiful mountain views!
The kitchen was well equipped and the Great Room was a very comfortable place to just hang out. I would suggest warning guests of the severity of the grade of the road approaching the cabin.
We were very pleased with the beautiful accommodations and the amazing view. We were most comfortable there and appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, game area, hot tub, and fireplace. However, we wished there had been a few basic items in the kitchen such as salt, pepper, and perhaps a few other common spices.
Recommend an all-wheel drive vehicle to reach this beautiful top-of-the-mountain gem :) It was such a beautiful, fun drive.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed this cabin inside and out. The mountain views from the living room and decks were beautiful! The furnishings were comfortable and had a personal family feel. This is the best cabin that our family has experienced. I would recommend this property and stay again if we visit Blue Ridge in the future. ~ The Rogers family ❤️
(Need to be careful on driveway, especially the slope leaving from cabin.)
Beautiful home beautiful view. We asked for an early check in, turned out we didn’t need to, but they were willing to make an exception without any push back. That was very much appreciated. We had a great time, wish we could have stayed longer.
We had a Scenic Railroad ride and zipline experience planned. Both were further from the cabin than we thought but enjoyed both. 4 nights was not enough but a long weekend was enough to unwind.
The cabin was great! The drive way to the cabin not so fun. We had a 4 wheel drive and we would highly recommend that especially for any bad weather. The cabin was further from Blue Ridge than we thought. But we got to know the area.
The house is very nice. The view of the mountains was spectacular! However, the distance to downtown Blue Ridge is about 30 minutes away and not an easy commute. The driveway to the property is extremely steep and narrow and at times a bit treacherous. If drivers are not driving a SUV type vehicle then they may experience trouble. The house is located towards the top of a mountian.
We had a girls trip this weekend to Skyline Lodge. One of the reviews I read mentioned that the drive up to the cabin was terrifying and I thought they were just not used to driving in the mountains. The drive up to the cabin is terrifying! Parking is very difficult around the cabin (we had three vehicles). Aside from the last quarter mile of the drive, the cabin is lovely. We did have some trouble with the basement level being very cold, but there are instructions on how to remedy the situation. The hot tub was great, the kitchen had everything we needed, the view was incredible. We’ll definitely be back!
Went with my family, two late teens, two in their late forties, and two in their early 70s. We all had a blast. The cabin was beautiful and the views were absolutely stunning. We will be talking about that view for years to come.
We called to see if firewood was provided for the fire pit day of arrival and whoever took my call was so helpful.
She explained the area and where to stop
For food and firewood before getting there. She told us to stop at Taccoa riverside restaurant.’
Honest to god. Go and get the trout and sit for that view.
The property is challenging to get to but worth it. The scenery is enough to make these Florida beach residents questioning their life choices.

December 2024 Weekend Stay
It's a nice cabin with good views. However, the description of the location on VRBO was wrong. It said it was downtown Blue Ridge when it reality it was 30 min from Blue Ridge. It's very remote and you will need a 4WD to access if there is ice or snow. While we were there it rained and the 2nd floor leaked onto guests waking them up in the middle of the night. Had multiple issues with the toilets backing up and had to call maintenance twice in 4 days. Despite all of those things, the property management team was easy to contact and deal with and responsive to our concerns. They handled the situations, and I feel like they will resolve the leaking and toilet issues quickly. Overall, if you want a nice remote cabin this would be a good one. If you want something closer to town with easy access I would choose a different one.
We had an incredible stay! The house and property were incredibly clean and organized, well decorated, and peaceful. The cabin looks just like the pictures.
Helpful Tips:
1) Cell service goes out about 45 minutes before the cabin, and you do need to print/screen shot the directions provided to you after you book to get to the location. The cabin itself has great Wifi!
2) The roads to the cabin & up the driveway are steep. Definitely suggest making the drive up in daylight for the first time.
3) The kitchen is fully stocked with most needed appliances, dishes, and silverware. You will want to pack (or pick up about an hour before arrival, before you'd start the journey up the mountain): crock pot (if you want one), bottled water, food, spices, cooking spray, big coffee or hot chocolate mugs if you like big ones!
4) Suggested meals: We brought a crock pot and made a lot of soups/chili/etc. which was lovely in the cabin environment and served our group. Oatmeal, pancake mix, S'mores, hot chocolate were also good choices!
5) Cabin was stocked with flashlights, batteries, dish detergent, towels!
6) Other suggested items: There are plentiful blankets, but bring more if you want or have a big group! Bring laundry detergent if you plan to do laundry. We couldn't burn fire outside do to a fire ban with dry weather this trip, but duraflame logs would be good to bring for that.
Thank you for a great stay!
