Hogback Haven - Blue Ridge

Set off just a couple miles from downtown Blue Ridge, you'll find this welcoming family-friendly house awaiting to make memories to last a lifetime! 
 
Soon as you walk into the front door, you will be taken aback by the awe-inspiring fully stocked kitchen with a restaurant grade gas stove and griddle! Snuggle up by the fire and take it all in while watching TV (50” HDTV) in the living room by the wood burning fireplace. If that's not enough, step out onto the deck to soak in the private North Georgia forest behind the cabin. This entry level is home to a queen bedroom that shares a tub/shower combo down the hallway. 
 
The master suite will be found in the upper level of this house, with a 34" HDTV w/ DirecTV and Blu-Ray player with streaming capabilities. This master bedroom also has its own private full bathroom with tub/shower combo. If you're the lucky one that gets to claim this room, you'll be able to step out and enjoy your coffee on your very own private balcony! 
 
The lower level walkout basement is home to a brand new 70" HDTV with DirecTV, Blu-Ray player with streaming capabilities, original XBox, and also an XBOX 360. If that wasn't enough, the den area also has 3 original arcade games for your enjoyment, a unique feature you won't find at many other cabins!  This level also features a bedroom for the kids with full-size bunk beds and a 36” TV with Blu-Ray player and streaming capabilities. 
 
One place many guests find themselves spending a lot of time is on the outdoor decks and patios. This cabin will be no different, as the deck has plenty of comfortable seating near the gas grill and picnic table. The lower level has a hot tub and a rocking bench! Don't forget to take advantage of the backyard fire pit and bring the smores! It's campfire time!  
 
The cabin also features a NEMA 14-50R outlet conveniently placed outside for charging your Tesla, electric vehicle or RV.

Great Communications

With 2 senior adults, 2 adult parents, a toddler and an infant, this was a great home for all our needs. While we had an issue with an alarm of some sort beeping early in the morning, their customer service people texted back right away and a service technician was there within hours. Great customer service!

Great cabin in the woods

Cabin is well laid out for 6 adult/4 toddler set up. The small bunk room off the main master was an excellent place for 3 toddler grandsons to sleep! Main floor had a well equipped kitchen, large dining and a large stone FP for those chilly nights. Upstairs provided another large master with a very large closet, which provided a good area for baby pack-n-play. Great playroom in basement with ping-pong and 2 video stations. Very large sofa for the large screen tv watching. The fire pit outside the basement area in the middle of the secluded/wooded area was a huge plus! Two rec improvements would be enough seating for 6 adults (possibly 2 swivel rocker recliners for tv viewing AND kitchen faucet needs repairing. Could not get cold water--only hot. As requested, housekeeping needs to address cobwebs in upper level windows & the removal of bird droppings on the back porch seating area/decking

Weekend getaway

Had everything we were looking for during a short trip. Close to downtown and activities. Did step on dog poop twice and knock my head on the light in the basement but otherwise no issues.

Comfortable Living

Everything was nice and comfortable- We enjoyed the town of Blue Ridge- The different excursions we did were about an hour drive so it was centrally located- My older sons enjoyed staying downstairs in the game room when we were home! Thank you for a pleasant vacation home!

Peaceful and relaxing

Property was gorgeous. Great location. TV in downstair bedroom did not work. We attempted to use the grill on our last night and it also didn’t work. Hot tub is in decent condition. Check out procedures said all trash beyond the two trash cans outside must be discarded by renter. This would have worked if one of the trash cans wasn’t already full. Loved the game room. Kitchen was top of the line. Plenty of towels and dishes. We loved how close we were to downtown Blue Ridge. Cabin is close to everything but in such a quaint location (best of both worlds). Our family made some incredible memories.

Lovely place, but not everything was perfect.

The location is excellent and the property is beautiful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. However, here are a few things the management needs to improve on: -Garbage from previous rental was in the two cans outside. I texted emailed the office and was told the maintenance would handle it. They never emptied the garbage -The TV in the basement room would not turn on -The lamp in the basement needs to be higher -It would be nice to have HDMI options on the other TVs Other than these few items, we do recommend the property.

Amazing

Our stay was fantastic. The kids had so much fun with the ping pong table. The kitchen was so big and beautiful and was very well stocked with anything we could have needed. My favorite part was relaxing in the hot tub. The kids loved the bunk rooms and switched between the two. It was awesome that so many activities and things in town were so close. We had never been to Georgia but our trip definitely made me want to come back.
