"The breakfast menu was very good & well presented. The room a/conditioner was average & didn't appear to work as it should. Further the room refrigerator would freeze the milk & drinks, it was replaced, but it did the same."

"The room was very clean and tidy. The room I stayed in had a queen bed and a single so would suit a small family. Or you can use the single bed as a bit of a luggage store. It had a cupboard and another space for luggage and a small table and chairs where you may sit for a meal. Microwave and fridge included and of course a basic bathroom. While the property is dated it is well maintained and has everything you would need for a short stay. What I did like about it was the proximity to the main street and it was very close to supermarkets. If you are wanting to visit the three sisters, then it is no more than two minutes drive from this motel."

"We had a superb stay at Burnie Brae! It's a quick walk from the train station, and easily accessible to everything in Katoomba. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. And, of course, it was a lovely home with beautiful period accents, comfortable furnishings, and a lovely garden surrounding it. We spent a very pleasant afternoon just enjoying the mountain air out on the wraparound porch. Our favorite stay in 2.5 weeks exploring Australia — cannot recommend it highly enough!"

"Visiting the Carrington was a trip back in time. A beautifully appointed hotel, attentive service, and scrupulously clean. We had a non ensuite room but the individual locked “bathrooms” in a shared facility were fine. The hotel bar and lounge area was a great place to relax after a day of local exploration. We will be back."
