Evenstar Cottage-Idyllic Mountain getaway

A quiet little studio cottage for two in charming Blackheath, the perfect getaway and Tree Change from the hustle and bustle of city life. This property is located in the secluded back garden of a residential home. Separate access.

Queen sized bed, sofa, TV (sorry, free-to-air only), DVD player, toaster, coffee plunger fridge, microwave, electric frypan, portable hot plate, slow cooker, spa bath / shower and best of all: Peace and Quiet!

There is a Queen size sofa bed. As this is a studio this is in the same sleeping space.

Minutes from Blackheath Village with its little shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, Megalong Valley, Govett's Leap lookout, hiking trails, community markets and much more. Ten minutes drive (or a short train ride from the nearby railway station) from scenic, bustling Katoomba and lovely Leura .

Travel cot available on request for those with infants but wishing to get away for a weekend. (Baby sitting available by arrangement and at additional cost, subject to availability). Folding single bed and folding sofa bed available.

BBQ grill available for use (subject to availability).

Tea,coffee, hot chocolate available. 1 litre milk supplied on arrival
Bed linens and towels supplied.
Wood supplied for slow combustion fire.

We had a lovely stay, found it a comfy getaway to explore the area. The bathroom was delightful, and the cottage was the perfect place to relax. I particularly loved the garden in spring.

Great Secluded Getaway

The cottage was fantastic for a short getaway in the Blue Mountains. It's centrally located and the indoor fire was a huge plus to the stay.Check in/out was very easy and I would highly recommend the cottage!

Getaway Weekend.

The cottage is nestled around a beautiful garden, We enjoyed all the beautiful products available for use and the essential oils making the experience even more relaxing.Walking distance to town and the golf club a 5 min drive.We would definitely stay there again.

Ideal Blue Mountains Hideaway

Really well-maintained cottage with everything for a comfortable stay. Close to a wedding venue which we attended. It was perfect for our 3-night stay. Not quite cold enough for us to light the log fire, though the mist and rain made it very tempting.

Over and above expectations

A beautiful private space with all and more you could wish for. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. I would definitely book this for my next visit.

Beautiful and cosy

The cabin has an elegant yet cosy feel too it. Everyrhing is as it should be and is perfect for a couples getaway. Spa bath and fire place make it all the better.

A comfortable cottage was updated and is even more comfortable this time. The new bathroom is a stunner. The setting is just beautiful and walking distance to cafés and shops. We'll come again for sure. Next time in winter to get the fire going.

Lovely place

We enjoyed our stay a lot. It is a lovely cabin in a beatiful backyard, with lots of attention to details that make you feel welcome. There is a little fireplace inside which is great for the cold and rainy days. Overall very cozy.

Charm, comfort and convenience

Evenstar is a delightful, classic Blue Mountains studio cottage, set in a beautiful garden. It is close to the village but down a quiet street. It has luxuries, such as a spa bath, and a slow combustion fire, but also has conveniences such as a "walk in" shower and excellent electric heating.

Very Quiet Secluded

Super cosy cottage!

We so enjoyed our little break! So many thoughtful inclusions that made the stay feel so homely. The fire was so cosy and calming, and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was a frequent happy surprise. It’s an easy walk to shops and a great pub for dinner. Thanks Olwen!

Perfect Autumn weekend getaway!

This cottage is the perfect weekend getaway to stay at in the season of autumn. We had everything we needed and more, Olwen and her family were lovely and responded quickly to communication. We even had left behind items arranged to be picked up in Sydney thanks to her kindness. A must stay cottage if you are travelling to the mountains this year!

Very cute, a bit rustic

Thank goodness all the wood was free! Very chilly without wood fire. Once a fire going very cozy. Brand new bathroom! Will be super nice once it is all renovated! Kitchen nice but upgrade in appliances available would be good for those that want to cook. Loved the big fridge. Felt very safe and love Blackheath.

Quiet Getaway

When you are visiting family and you want to get the adult kids out of your hair, you want a quiet getaway like Evenstar Cottage. It is spacious and well presented. Olwen and his wife were charming and the bird life fascinating to watch each morning and evening. Heating is no problem with a fire and other heaters(if you need them) as well as electric blanket, heated towell rails and floor in the bathroom. It is off the beaten track - just, yet close to town and walks etc... We're comng back definitely!!

Beautiful winter getaway

The cottage was quaint and cosy. Olwen had provided absolutely everything we needed and more. The cottage was always warm due to the fact that there was a woodfire with plenty of wood, plus a fan heater (for when I could not get the fire going:) ) The bed was super comfortable with an electric blanket and several covers. The kitchenette was small but very well equipped. The bathroom was quite luxurious with a large supply of products such as shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion. The bath is the biggest I have been in and the shower was spectacular. If you need a fantastic place to relax in, the Evenstar cottage is the place for you !
