We did not stay there and booked another accommodation, therefore needed to pay twice for accommodation for our holiday. When confronted the owner about the crappy caravan she just replied " In 6 months time, you will laugh about your experience at The Stables""

It is a beautiful, peaceful place with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and the perfect base from which to explore Tulbagh and the surrounding valley. The accommodation was comfortable, welcoming and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and generous — definitely enough to keep you going for most of the day! What really stood out was the warm hospitality and the feeling of being able to simply slow down, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We had such a lovely few days here and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Tulbagh."

"Was not quite what I expected. Located literally in a mountain pass with traffic driving past. The room doesnt have a fridge. It has a cooler but what good is that if you want to pack some items of your own to stay properly cold. You are given a kitchen sink in your room. A microwave would also be a good option. For what you pay to stay, it is not worth it. The restaurant has a limited menu. The location is remote and far from any shops. There is a Spar in Citrusdal, a 10 minute drive away. We stayed almost a week. Asked housekeeping to change our pillow cases once. They did not do this. This was the only request from housekeeping. The Spa is excellent and privately owned. That made up for the disappointment in the hotel."
