「This house was PERFECT for or family trip to the Redwoods. The house has beautiful view and perfect location. We were welcomed with a very nice bottle of wine and hand written note. The house sits on the 9 hole golf course run by adjacent KOA. We enjoyed golf and other KOA amenities. We walked to Benbow Inn for a very nice dinner. Our weather was rainy, it was nice to have this warm oasis to come home to each night. We did not use pool or hot tub due to weather.」

「We enjoyed the hot tub! Especially after running The Avenue of the Giants Half Marathon. Property is a bit older, but quaint and comfortable. Had fewer beds than listed at booking. Easy drive to a nearby market in Garberville. Loved our stay.」

「The road to get to this property is no joke! The write up on Shelter cove road is spot on. At the end of the road is a hidden gem. Black sand beaches, and quite a view. The property was going thru some renovations, but our room was spacious and clean. Open the door to your balcony, and the ocean is right there. Breakfast at the cafe was also very good, it’s not included with the room. 」

「We loved this little cabin! It had everything we needed! One thing to be aware of: the local pickleball community has adopted part of the street leading to the cabin as their courts. They’ll move to let you by, but it gets a bit crowded at times and they’re less than thrilled about stopping play to move their nets. Other than that, it was excellent!」

「I was here for the Gimme Shelter Eighteenth Annual Kayak Gathering. The location was perfect. I used the oven to bake two native blackberry pies for the event potluck dinner. I parked my car with kayak on top in the provided parking area. It worked out well. I was able to rinse the salt water from my kayak gear with the host's permission after a successful (awesome) day fishing. I had a wonderful time.」

「Sleeps 3-5 easily if you share the main beds. Pellet stove very easy to operate and can heat the entire place. Plenty of pillows for the beds and lots of throw pillows too. Quiet location, diner around the corner. Coffee maker, hot water kettle, stove and microwave. Powerful shower if you like that sort of thing. Nice backyard courtyard to hang out in if the weather is nice. Washer and dryer are a nice plus as well. I’d definitely stay here again.」

「Off grid getaway tucked deep in the redwoods— arrival itself is an adventure. The apartment is a quiet, peaceful nook with an eclectic touch. The grounds are highly explorable and our pup had a wonderful time. Wondering around and waking up next to the rushing Eel River was a beautiful experience. Great place to stay if your goal is to disconnect for a while. 10/10 will return. 」

「This was our first visit to northern California. We had a great view of the cove where there were sea lions and seals and enjoyed watching the birds and deer from the porch. We traveled to the redwoods which were not far. We also explored the General Store and enjoyed a meal at the brewery in Shelter Cove. All communication with the homeowner was prompt and courteous. Perfect trip!」

「Place is great. Only negative was Vacasa inserting extra steps into reservation process after I had been confirmed by VRBO, and encountering rude Vacasa customer service while calling trying to avoid identity theft. We all deserve kindness and compassion. Finding out I am dealing with a middleman with extra rules is reasonably off-putting after thinking I've closed a deal with VRBO. Cancelling and starting over at that point would have been a hassle. Writing this review is a hassle yet I thought...
