Originally my husband and I booked Grandma’s Farmhouse because it was close to the area where my husband’s grandparents lived, his grandfather was a Reverend at the Long Shoal Community Church, and both were buried in Buck Creech Cemetery. My husband had been to the church when he was very young, but didn’t remember where the cemetery or the church were located.
We were gone about 3 to 4 hours each day searching for any information we could find. But it was so nice to be able to come back, sit in the lawn chairs while having a gentle breeze, and listen to the birds talking to each other. My Mom is 87 years old and walks with a cane or walker. She ventured out to look at flowers, trees, the old buildings, and took a leisurely nap in a lawn chair under a shade tree. She did quite well!
The inside of the house is decorated so nice! The couch, chairs, beds, etc., were very comfortable and clean! Having dishes and appliances to use, an over abundance of towels and cleaning products (both personal and for picking up grass, wiping down the counter tops, etc.) available, and the warm comfortable feeling when inside the house all contributed to our stay there as being one of the best places so far!
