The Bear Den

The float home consists of a single room plus a bathroom. A queen-size bed, fit for 2 people, and futon couch that sleeps 2, make up the sleeping spaces in the single room of this cute and cozy float home. A nice kitchen area can also be found in a single room. What makes the home so endearing is the bear-themed porch on the front of the home. There is ample seating for all guests on the porch. Plus, there is an additional dock in front of the porch that guests may use to take in the outstanding views of the lake.

Perfect weekend getaway

The stay was perfect for us! A 2 burner stove, small freezer, mid size fridge, A/C, everything you need for bathroom & kitchen. Bright our kayaks and paddled around the bay right from the dock. Very relaxing. Great food at few local spots around town, a small, well stocked mercantile within walking distance, and super friendly people everywhere.

Beautiful location!

Super cute cottage with a stunning view. You can access the water right from your deck! Everything was perfect except for the bed. It was 100% unacceptable, not 99%….100%. Check to make sure they have replaced the mattress before booking this unit.

Incredible view, relaxing getaway.

We've stayed at this particular float home twice because it is such a special place. I took my kayak which was great to explore the docks and bay. They didn't provide paper products (no paper towels and only 1/2 roll toilet paper for 4 night stay) so make sure you pick up necessities before getting there. The Lake House restaurant is open this summer and good food. On Saturday night there were 3 different bars in Bayview with live music to enjoy.

The "cabin" is awesome, the only negative I would say about it is the plywood walkway between docks needs to be replaced, it's weak and old the house also list's to one side quite a bit. ( but it did add some laughs for us) Awesome view in the morning.
