About this property
Light-filled Period Apartment - Central Bath
Summary:
CURATED PROPERTY PRESENTS : A beautifully furnished very comfortable, gracious first floor apartment overlooking Green Park, part of a terrace built c.1795. Jane Austen lived from 1804-5 in the terrace opposite. We love staying here, a haven above the park with a view through the trees, and yet the centre of Bath is just minutes away. Flooded with light on bright days it is a cosy refuge on dull days and in the evenings; relax, read, cook or just sit and gaze from the windows.
The Space:
The apartment comprises a hall with coat cupboard, large sitting room, bedroom with king size bed (that can be separated from the living room by closing the double doors), a shower room, and a fully equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs. The space is beautifully furnished for a relaxing and sumptuous stay.
Guest Access:
There is a shared front door to the building into the hall from where you take one flight of stairs to the private front door of the apartment.
We can arrange parking nearby for an additional fee - let us know if this is of interest.
The Neighborhood:
In the heart of Bath, just a few minutes walk from shops, restaurants, markets, museums and the Theatre Royal. Green Park Station around the corner hosts a Saturday morning Farmers' Market which is well worth a visit.
Getting Around:
Easy walking distance to countless delights including The Roman Baths, The Thermae Bath Spa, The Jane Austen Centre, The Assembly Rooms, The Royal Crescent, The Circus, The Pump Rooms, Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge and The Holborne Museum.
Other Things to Note:
As the apartment is so centrally located, you may hear noise from the road beside. There is also a train line just behind the apartment. This causes very minimal disruption.
We partner with TRUVI to carry out secure guest ID verification, helping to ensure a safe and trusted stay for all parties. Once you have completed verification with TRUVI, your stay will be protected by Guest Guarantee and you'll benefit from an accidental damage cover.

This is one of the more tasteful apartments we’ve stayed in thru VRBO. It was everything as advertised and more. The location is central and on a park with an amazing elm tree turning yellow out the living room window. It’s bright and light and well… we had trouble leaving each day and looked forward to getting back and that says a lot in a beautiful city like Bath. Mary and her husband Clive were lovely and helpful. Can’t say enough good.
We stayed at Green Park for a long weekend and it was just idyllic. Nothing is too far in Bath, everything is walkable, but what's great about this place is you are a little away from the buzz, so it was very quiet at night time. Being situated right next to the River Avon meant tranquil runs in the morning and the apartment had everything we needed.
We found this to be a very nice flat for out three night stay. We like to walk, and the location was within easy walking distance of the river hike and bike trail. The walk to downtown was about 5-10 minutes, making it easy to find restaurants for lunch and dinner. The flat itself is comfortable and generally quiet at night. There is a nearby street, so during the day there is some street noise. The front windows look into a park, which is a nice view to have in the morning.Communications and check-in were smooth and uneventful. We would stay here again.
Spacious, comfortable, very attractive apartment overlooking a park. Kitchen had supplies for coffee, dishes, glasses/cups, paper towels, etc. Large comfortable bed and living room furnishings. We were able to walk to the train station and grocery around the corner. The area is pretty busy, students & others in the park and streets during day and night but we (2 women) were fine with the location and it was easy to walk to sights and restaurants. Delightful stay.
Perfect location to go anywhere, nice apartment & good space. Very well & quick response from host. However, the hallway to the 2nd floor apartment is a bit gloom & the front apartment is mess with bags & bins for waste. Toaster should be replaced (there is melt rubber ban & crust left inside). Recommend brighter ceiling light. Overall, this is a valuable stay.❤️
Lovely property and location. However, anyone traveling from America better not plug anything into the bedroom sockets. Even with the appropriate converter, my 250 hairdryer blew up. Owner offered no compensation. There is a washing machine but no dryer. Toilet took at least 2 flushes to flush anything. Great otherwise .
The moment we walked into this apartment we took a collective breath out. This place is stunning! They truly just don't make apartments like this anymore. There was TONS of storage and space. We loved it so much, I think we spent more time in this apartment than any other place we stayed on our trip. We didn't have a need to use the kitchen, but the washing machine came in clutch after we got caught in the rain one day.
The location is also great. It's far enough away from city center that it wasn't loud, and there was a cute park across the street, so the view was serene. We were a 10-20 minute walk from anything we wanted to see, and a 2 minute walk from some really great restaurants (which was more important to us). The town of Bath is so nice that even the longer walks just felt like sight-seeing.
Would recommend!!
I enjoyed this apartment within walking distance of the center of activities. I appreciated the space to spread out, wash clothes and enjoy a cup of tea.
