The "Jägerstuben" country inn with its beer garden, barbecue hut and delicious regional dishes is located directly in the village.



In Hennstedt (6 km) there are shops with a bakery, restaurants, doctors and a pharmacy.

The district town of Heide with the largest market square in Germany, the North Sea resorts of Büsum and St.Peter-Ording, Husum or Kiel and Hamburg are easily accessible by car and are great destinations for excursions.
