"Clean, beautiful room. Comfy bed and amazing water pressure from the rain shower head. Large, easy to access television. Staff was extremely helpful. Will be back for longer stay."

"Self check in means you have to upload a new credit card & pay $50 in deposit as well as upload an ID - per room - on site in their parking lot with terrible wifi. So youll end up driving to get wifi to complete this terrible experience. Per room - they cant just apply your information to all rooms you prepaid for. An hour 1/2 later youll get in your room. "

"They keep bugging me to post a review of my stay so here goes. This time I had a room upstairs and it was cleaner than the downstairs for some reason. The beds are super old and hard and really need to be replaced. Towels need to be replaced as well. Even the curtains have an “ick” to them they are so old and probably extremely dirty. The outside, they took the “ leave the lights on” to an extreme because they are SO bright you have to put your hand over your mouth to not get bugs because there are thousands of them attracted by that light when it gets dark out. Parking lot is completely trashed and needs repaved and the stairwells are nasty. The past couple of times I’ve stayed here was because it was last minute and I wasn’t able to get a room at my usual spot. I have to say though that the people that work there are very nice and accommodating as best as they are able. I think Motel 6 does enough business to be able to so some renovations."

"The hotel is on the outskirts of the main town, but totally walkable. Thankfully, Solvang is a quaint city, so most hotels meet this need. It was a little confusing how to find our room initially. There are two separate buildings, and we chose incorrectly the first time. Felt like we were going in circles. Once we found our room, it was spacious and clean. Bathroom was a little small, and our sink was cracked. Small details like this make me think it’s time for some renovations. The hotel is dog friendly and for $50 extra, our dog was able to stay with us. From what I could see, there wasn’t a designated outdoor area for our dog. She found little patches of bark to void onto. She did her “business” on a walk through Solvang, which has an occasional park. Overall, I would stay at the Vinland Hotel again, but I ultimately think there are nicer hotels in the area."

"Large spacious room that was very clean. Sliding door that led to the pool and hot tub. Hot tub and pool were both well maintained at a comfortable temperature for their intended use and spotlessly clean. Excellent staff who provided help and information. Property is located at the far west end of Mission with easy access and abundant parking"

"We had to evacuate my city so we decided to make a spontaneous road trip up north out of it. First stop I found a cheap hotel in solvang. I was shocked because it's a tourist town so I expected it to be expensive. For such a good deal we got a lovely sized room! The hotel has a pool, jacuzzi and some games for kids to play. Our room was super clean and in great shape. I will try to book here again on our way back south!"

"Staff was not very helpful. When we asked if they had certain rooms available the young man at the front desk lied to us. We immediately went on the website and saw the availability. It was a holiday weekend so we paid a VERY inflated price for the room and the guys didn’t even give us the best available even though we told him we had just had a very challenging travel and rough day. He gave us a parking lot view! We went back and asked for a better room then he gave us the better view. Sad that we had to ask! We’ve stayed there numerous times and would think they would want to make our stay a pleasant one, especially after paying o er $400 for a regular room! Not very hospitable!"
