This was my first day at this hotel, and it won’t be my last!. The staff accommodated me very well and I’m grateful for them!. The room was spacious , clean and warm. The TV has many many channels. You’ll never get bored watching TV there lol. Everything is in walking distance. It is very secure, because you need a key to get into the entryway of the hotel. I really loved that. And, also they have an elevator. That was a major plus. Great parking spaces close to the facility. Thanks again for everything. I can’t wait to come back again soon. God willing!.!

Good overall but the only negative experience I had was with Oscar at the front desk. I went down around 8:30 p.m. to ask a simple question about whether food was still available at the lounge. He didn’t acknowledge me or looked at me, he was looking at his computer, browsing through a chat. I could clearly see this since I was standing to the side of the desk. Without even making eye contact, he said, “Can you give me a minute?” in a very dry tone, even though no one else was waiting and he didn’t appear busy (continued to browse his chat). I waited a few seconds, but since he still didn’t acknowledge me or try to help, I just walked away. That interaction left a bad impression. Guests should feel acknowledged and welcomed, even during a brief wait. Aside from that experience, everything else was fine.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean, the pool and jacuzzi were the highlights of our stay and we enjoyed it so much. Definitely will be back :)

Inside the room was clean. Balcony and hallway, not really. No closet in the room. Towels looked and felt old. Room was very noisy. The AC/Heater very loud when it kicked in. Guests drunk and loud past midnight. Shower head and water pressure was great. That is about the only thing that was great. The male staff upon checking in did not make any effort to be friendly or welcoming.

We were mystified by the reviews for this property. Our renovated “city view” room was located behind a bus stop, on the ground level of a very busy road, less than 20 ft from the road. The room was not very comfortable. The internet access was terrible, important because cell service in this location is also limited. We enjoyed Solvang and the location was walking distance to several restaurants but will stay somewhere else next time we visit.

Hotel is within walking distance to downtown area, which is convenient. The hotel is supposed to be smoke free, but we kept getting cigarette smoke odor in our room. The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy. The AC/heater unit is very loud when it's on. The shower pressure is extremely strong, felt like little pin pricks. The bath towels are gross, they are supposed to be white, they are so dingy, they look gray. I'm so glad I always travel with my own towel! Overall I would not stay here again.

Did not use pool or hot tub. Room was dated and the carpets were stained, it had been cleaned but felt dirty. Our bath tub did not empty easily and clogged up. Oscar at front desk was helpful and moved us to another room. Parking was good , we had no problem finding a spot and lighting was good.

I enjoyed my two night stay at the Vinland Hotel and Lounge. The beds were comfortable, shower had extraordinary pressure, ample bathroom counter space and delicious (and very strong) coffee available in the lobby. I’m also a fan of the Malin+Goetz body wash (just ordered some for home). The location is perfect and very walkable to all things Solvang. I would stay here again.

The location of this hotel is easily accessible through the main street. Check in was a smooth process where we then parked underground and were able to access our room fairly quick. The room was in great condition very clean and simple lay out. The highlight of our stay definitely had to be the 100's of goats right outside of our balcony. It was a great surprise to lean over and seeing all those beautiful animals right outside of our room. I would also like to mention the shower pressure in the shower had to of been one of the best showers I've had in a while. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the town we did get our voucher to the bakery next door which allowed us to try the local pastries which was a decent quick meal to fill the stomach. Anyone visiting dont forget to visit ostrichland a few minutes up the road!!

My husband & I came here for a little getaway for our anniversary. The property was clean, inviting, & cozy. The room was clean & cute! Parking was easy & they even had EV charging! Its very close to all kinds of restaurants & shops. We will definitely stay here again:)

The lobby looked nice and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the large balcony with a great view. Unfortunately, our overall experience was still disappointing. The hotel is not very stroller-friendly. From the parking area to the elevator for the lobby, there are several unavoidable steps that make access difficult. Traveling with a baby, a stroller, and luggage made this especially inconvenient. We also had a few issues in the room. The shower head was leaking and spraying water in multiple directions, which left the bathroom floor completely wet. Additionally, when our child accidentally clogged the toilet (with a normal bowel movement), we notified the staff, but no one came to assist or resolve the issue. Overall, while the hotel has some nice features, the lack of accessibility and slow response to maintenance concerns made our stay frustrating.

Room was clean but small. Nothing special about this hotel to be honest, especially not to warrant a $425 a night price tag. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world of better quality for almost half the price. The building is a little run down (marked carpets, stained stairwells, flaking paint and decaying wood on outside). The room itself was nice enough, with comfy beds and simple amenities (shampoo, body wash, conditioner, small fridge, hairdryer) but for the price should have been wildly more elevated. Little swimming pool and hot tub looked nice, the restaurant/bar was also small and cute. I took one star off for the simplicity and lack of upkeep outside and another for the wildly inflated price gouge for what is, ostensibly, just a very average hotel.

Unfortunately we were not checked in properly by the manager when we arrived, although we had a reservation confirmed. This internal error caused our room to be offered to another couple while we were out and although the hotel did comp us a night, which we appreciated, this was disturbing.

Such a nice touch to see a welcome bottle of wine in our suite!
