「A lovely stay, staff very friendly.」

「Absolutely fantastic stay in a lovely cosy pub. Staff could not have been more helpful. The room we stayed in was amazing add to this the fantastic food and atmosphere and it all adds up to a memorable stay. We will be back again.」

「Beautiful room and huge bathroom We stayed in St Julien room」

「The room was very clean. We stayed 2 nights and they cleaned our room after our 1st morning, refreshing the towels and coffee, plus cleaning the bathroom etc. It was a windy and stormy time outside which meant muddy boots but the staff made sure all the stairs and hallways to our room were freshly cleaned. Great location. Near shops, restaurants, and a walk along the Thames. We appreciated our stay.」

「Well worth a visit for good food and nice staff」

「Lovely stay. Spacious room」

「Cosy, warm room with very comfortable bed. Fresh milk and a coffee percolator as well as a kettle were a bonus. We enjoyed our stay and would use the pub again if we were in the area. Very attractive pub downstairs.」

The full English breakfast was delicious and the fish and chips the previous night was also of a high standard. Recommendable.」

By that point, I had wasted so much time waiting that I had to rush to make my pre-booked taxi, so I had no opportunity to raise it with reception before leaving. The room itself was basic,...
