We absolutely adored this house and had such a great time. The location was perfect, super close to the beach and any amenities we needed. Absolutely spectacular!!!

This listing exceeded all of our expectations! This is our third year renting a home in the Outer Banks and this house was easily the best so far. The house is beautiful and so well maintained. It was so clean and bright and the bedrooms and bathrooms were all in excellent condition. The kitchen was a bit on the smaller side but it opened up into a huge eating area and living space with beautiful views. The game room was so much fun with pool and ping pong and because it was elevated it was nice and dry! The pool area, hot tub, outdoor shower, Tiki bar and yard space were beautiful and well cared for. It was truly a vacation oasis. The proximity to the beach was great and the walk to a stunning and never crowded beach was easy. The host Mandy was so quick and helpful with communication. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Absolutely Fantastic

This was our first year to vacation in the Outer Banks and it was one to remember! Wasabi is the perfect house for a family trip as it literally has something for everyone. The house's location, pool, game room, bedrooms, kitchen..... I could go on and on about all the great things this house has to offer. Our only regret.....not knowing about this gem years ago.ago.

OBX Wasabi 2024

Wasabi has been the best beach house our family has stayed. We loved the location, so close to the off road beach access and a great neighborhood. Owners were very quick and responsive regarding questions or issues. The house was super clean and well put together for an entire family’s needs, including the dogs! They had an outdoor oasis for adults, kids, and pets. They had games, cards, toys, Wii, and activities for everyone. We didn’t need anything else when cooking in the kitchen, they even had a spice cabinet. We enjoyed it so much the first day that we went ahead and booked for next year. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much for an incredible beach stay!

Family Vacation

We stayed at Wasabi for a family reunion vacation, and it was wonderful! The house was clean and comfortable. We loved the pool, hot tub, and ping pong table after our daily beach trip. Mandy was great throughout! We made lots of memories with family on this trip and have treasured our time in Avon, NC. We hope to be able to go back soon!

Family Vacay

We enjoyed our stay, especially the out door space. The kitchen had everything you could possibly think a kitchen should have and more. The luggage lift was a great perk. The walk to the beach was easy. A great place if you are looking for a relaxing vacation and enjoying time with the family.

A Great Getaway!

Definitely Recommend

We had the best time at the Wasabi house! It’s located perfectly in between the ocean and the sound. Every morning we wake up and go walk our dog on the sound and it would just be us out there. We hit the pool during the day and walk the beach at night. It was my son’s first vacation. He turned seven months there and his first time in a pool, and he absolutely loved it! The owners were very prompt and responsive. Kitchen had everything you would possibly think of to cook. Beds were very comfortable. The second porch was a hit with all the swings. We had a great time and will be returning.

Awesome vacation house

My family stayed at the Wasabi house which my Grand daughter calls the Barbie house because of the pink on the house. We couldn't have asked for more, the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need, the luggage & grocery lift was a great idea, plenty of seating for everyone in the dining area and living room. The beds were very comfortable and the pool table, ping pong table, pool and hot tub were a very big hit for the kids as well as the adults. The house is a short walk to beach with outdoor showers to wash off sand. Mandy responded very quickly with any concerns. Thank you Mandy & family for sharing your beautiful house.

Family Vacation

This property had a great location. Away from the noises of the street but close enough to walk to the beach and drive to popular destinations. Each bedroom has its own bathroom so each couple had thier own privacy. Pool and fenced in yard is a great set up.

Family Vacation

We had a great stay at Wasabi House. The home is a great size for family vacations, it easily accommodated our family of 14 without us ever feeling cramped. We appreciated having 4 king size beds for the adult couples and all the beds were comfortable. We were all pleasantly surprised when we saw the inside in person, it was better than the pictures! We didn't swim as much as we thought we would. The pool was a little chilly and covered in shade by around 4pm, it was a pretty breezy week we were there though and it didn't stop the kids. Having the hot tub as another option was great. We also enjoyed some of the other amenities. We had a fire pit one night and we got a lot of family time around the pool table. The house is in a good location with a short drive to the grocery, farmer's market, and many restaurants. Also not a bad drive to Hatteras to see the lighthouse and where several family members took the ferry to Ocracoke Island. My favorite areas to relax were on the decks. The top deck has great views and breeze and also a screened in porch which was perfect for games and ice cream. The middle deck has 2 swings and a hammock perfect for relaxing and hanging out. Side note, there are several stairs in these types of homes if that is difficult for you. Mandy was quick to respond to any questions. We appreciate you letting us stay in your home and bringing our 4-legged family members with us. We would rent again and recommend to anyone looking for great vacation home.

Loved the Wasabi!

The house was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and being able to spread out. The walk to the beach was a bit difficult with the kids and all the coolers, chairs, boogie boards, toys, etc. We did have a wagon, but trying to haul it up the stairs over the dunes would have been impossible without two strong people. We ended up driving and parking just up the road for easier beach access. All in all, everyone had a great time, and we enjoyed our first big family vacation together in six years.

Beach memories

Great house for extended family vacations. We loved our stay. The only thing we could improve is adding a metal shelf in kitchen, next to fridge, to put food on. We had to use all the counter space for our food. We bought truck passes to drive onto the beach. The entrance is very close to the house. Makes beach days very easy.

It is hard saying goodbye to Wasabi!

It will be very good as soon as soon as we get our refundable damage deposit. We got our refundable damage deposit 16 days after check out. After contacting vrbo I found out that they release the deposit in 14 days if there is no damage claim. I suggest the owner contact vrbo as soon as they know there will be no claim made so the process can be expedited. My wife wrote in the book. For me personally very good, but too many nicnacks pillows. Etc Too much in cupboards

Doesn’t get any better

A block from the beach. Great back yard with beautiful pool and tiki bar. All bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, spacious and high end. Kitchen/great room was the best with great views. Favorite spot was the 3rd level deck outside of the great room for an after dinner drink with a shady warm breeze. Location was very nice and private. What would I improve? Absolutely nothing.

Great home/Great vacation

We had a great time!!! The house was amazingggg! We loved the character and the amenties the home provided. The pool and hot tub was clean and beautiful to enjoy. The rooms are spacious and comfortable! Mandy was great with communicating with us and assisting us where needed. The wifi was very slow but we assumed it was because it was 15 of us on devices and streaming. The weather was great and it only rained at night while we were sleeping 🙌. We would definitely recommend the home if you like the Avon area. This was our first time in Avon because we normally stay in Corolla or Duck. I will say the only activities in the area were water sports so if that’s what you’re interested in then it will work. The restaurants were great and the food was delicious. This home gets a 5 star review because it deserves it 🔥.

Great house for family and friends

This house is in a great area mins from the beach. Plenty of space for everyone and not feel on top of people. Decks are beautiful and the game room hot tub and pool were perfect for after a long day at beach.

Best house ive ever stayed in

This house was perfect for the large group we had travveling with is. Each bedroom was perfect, comfy beds and nice big bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked with miscellaneous things most beach houses dont have. Plenty of games in the game room, plus the pool table, made for lots of entertainment. The hot tub, the pool, and the tiki bar were all amazing and we used them every single day. The outdoor stereo system was exceptional and allowed us to listen to music in the pool/hot tub. The outdoor shower was the perfect way to rinse off after a day at the beach. The walk to the beach took not even 5 minutes so we didnt have to drive if we didnt want to. Overall, it was the best house ive ever stayed at in the Outer Banks.
