「Our stay at Gooseberry Cottage was everything we had hoped for. It was a great home base to explore all that Madeline Island has to offer. The property was very private and peaceful and we had lots of fun on the beach in the lake. The home was very comfortable for our family of 4.」

「This was our third time staying. We go almost every year and have stayed at many phenomenal homes on the island, but this is far and away our favorite. The home is incredibly well thought-out for groups and very comfortable. The porch, the dock, the sunsets...it's just magical.」

「A great little cottage had all we needed and was so restful under the oaks we wanted to stay longer. Much appreciated the air conditioning for it was unseasonably hot. Beach was much smaller than anticipated and hard on old knees rather inaccessible but worth the sunrise view! The beds were fine. The owner went out of her way to keep us informed and was very kind and thoughtful. Would recommend to anyone going to the area.」

「The property was nicely set off of the quiet dirt road that it is on. Everything is well taken care of and seems basically new. Lots of space for the 2 of us, even for 4 it would still be great. The communication was excellent, she would respond within a couple minutes. Great views of the sky during the evenings and some good opportunities for observing some wildlife in the adjoining field.」

「Everything was great with our stay. The house is beautiful and well appointed. The lake views and the peaceful setting was just what we needed! Copper Falls State Park is a gem and the hiking was incredible! The town of Mellen is a quaint little town with a nice bar and grill. The area in Ashland county lends itself to day trips to Bayfield and other small towns in Northern WI. Everything was excellent with our stay. The only small issues we had were very minor. 「Perfect place that was secluded, but yet very close to the Bayfield downtown area. We were able to see the northern lights one night and the meteor shower from the front door! House was packed with amenities down to the firewood. The owner was very proactive in communicating. Overall very easy process. The hammock was a nice addition my kids liked. Although there is other property onsite, very easy to keep to yourself. 」

「Such a gem! Lake Superior, gorgeous sand dunes and beach, kayaking, and sleeping was so pleasant with the cool lake breeze. Blueberry Lane is so sweet. Great location.」
