"I couldn't determine whether this facility was just particularly renovated or only part of a rundown motel was being used. The clerk was courteous and the room was clean. BUT my non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoking and the bed cover was full of cigarette burn holes.The a/c unit was very noisy and it took all night to cool the room. I barely slept because of the noise and cigarette smell. The little microwave light was stuck on. I never used it but the light wouldn't turn off with the door closed. Lastly "renter be aware" if the picture doesn't have the name of the hotel on it look elsewhere. I don't like bad reviews but this place was a complete disappointment even for one night 😞. "

"The Guest House is the perfect place for a fun getaway to see the city. The apartment was incredibly clean and well stocked with travel amenities. Check in was a breeze and check-out was even easier. There was mention of highway traffic noise in a previous review, but did not find it to be an issue as there was a white sound machine available for use. The Guest House was located within walking distance of two popular breweries. We were in town to see Suggesting Rhythm, and couldn’t have been happier with the proximity to the show. We look forward to our next trip to the RVA area!"

"The owner was very prompt and clear in communication, lives in the same building, so greeted us warmly, the property was clean and cozy and well appointed. The neighborhood is close to so many sites we wanted to see. Parking can be a little challenging in that area, but nothing we weren't able to work around."
"Great location! Walkable to museums, shops, and restaurants in the neighborhood and a quick uber ride to other neighborhoods in RVA. The space being one level was great for our senior dog. "
