「Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat.」

「We stayed in three. The room was big, but it was including waste space where no one stays there. If sofa bed was opened, no space to walk or open your luggage. The room was not in basement, but ground floor rooms have less top window which you feel as it is in basement. I would feel horrible if the days were really hot. No air conditioners. 「とても良かった。 良い点、 1)部屋は広く明るく、暖かかった。 2)オーナーはとても親切だった。 重い荷物も部屋まで運んでくれた。 電球が切れていたので言ったらすぐ交換してくれた。 いつも会うといろいろ話しかけてくれた。 3)朝ごはんは8時から10時までで、イングリッシュブラックファスト、オムレツ、エッグベネディクト、ともう一つ忘れましたが、の4種類から好きに選べるだけでなく、ミックスしたり追加できたりした。 他にもフルーツやシリアル、パンやヨーグルトなどもあり、評判通り美味しかった 4)周りは静かだった。 いまいちだったところ。 1)エレベーターがない。これは知っていたので別に困らなかった。 2)シャワーの水圧が弱かった。これはほとんどのイーストボーン のホテルと同じ問題である。海辺なので水圧は弱いそうです。 でもバスタブはあったので、ゆっくりできた。 その他、 ベッドは私にはちょうどの硬さだったが、人によっては若干固く感じるかも。 」

「My fiancée and I stayed at The Alfriston during the last weekend of half-term. The welcome was pleasant, and we appreciated the complimentary glass of wine. Unfortunately, almost every part of the stay had issues. Our room was small, overlooking the spa pool, with fairly standard amenities. Dinner was disappointing. The sole server was friendly but repeatedly forgot our order. Drinks took 20–30 minutes to arrive, the rosé was served warm despite which is quite bad when it costs £12–15 a glass....

「While the Tiger Inn pub is nicely located by the village inn and the staff were very helpful, the room was over priced for what it was - a nice room in a pub. To describe it as 'luxury' is somewhat misleading in my view. The food was good but nothing special, so again, certainly didnt justify the 'luxury' reference」

「昔ながらのスタイルのB&Bという感じで、建物は古そうでしたが綺麗で、スタッフもフレンドリーだしいい感じのホテルです。部屋は狭かったですが、風呂の湯もしっかりでたし、バスタブも大きめでいいです。部屋は海側ではなかったのですが、朝食会場からは海が見渡せてよかったです。雨の予報だったけど、晴れてきたので、バスツアーでセブンシスターズを見にゆきました。駅からスーツケースを引きずって行ったのはちょっときつかったけど、よく調べたらバスで行けたので、帰りはバスにしました。」

「We have stayed at this hotel several times before. It’s a great location in Eastbourne. The bed was clean and fresh and the breakfast very tasty. However, it is very tired. Our room was very disappointing- damp on the ceiling, one light fitting in the en-suite was hanging out of the ceiling and 2 other down lighting bulbs did not work. There was no heating in the room and it was needed. Also, there was no BBC on the very small and inefficient TV.」

「Great location on the seafront - pack your swimmers for a quick dip. The rooms are clean, comfy and well appointed. Excellent shower in the room we had. The fresh milk on check in is a great touch. The team on check in and check out were very helpful and polite」

「First room was unusable due to extreme noise all night, and I only got moved the next day after reporting it. The first night was therefore effectively lost and no refund was given. Also concerning: the hotel took full credit card details, including the security code (CVV), and wrote them down on a piece of paper, which is unsafe practice. Overall, poor handling of a serious issue and questionable payment security procedures. Expedia offered only a small goodwill credit, which did not reflect...

「The staff were amazing from the front desk Darcy and mum to the night porter, who could not do enough for us brilliant. Would recommend to all ages and jealous that we’re not still there. Carnival was great; only thing is if you’re down for this event next year, find parking first early, as it’s at a premiere. Massive shout out again to all. 👍😘」
