The most important thing to know is that the hotel is not within walking distance to the old town area with all the lanterns. That requires a 10 minute car ride. I would have preferred a location right in that area, and it was difficult to figure out as a newcomer. "

"We had a great stay at Holiday Inn. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us. The hotel was also great. The condition was excellent and the location was first class. It’s literally on top of a metro station and opposite a food court. Would definitely recommend to friends and family who are visiting that part of Shanghai "

"Very close (walking distance if not raining) to the old city - allow a good day to cover it all, and this is one of the least commercialised water-towns accessible from Suzhou or Shanghai, but not much else to do there unless you're at a conference etc. that the hotel caters for. Good, comfortable, clean working room with full amenities, nice view of the lake, very good local arts shop in the lobby. The restaurant was OK - lack of English skill resolved by ordering via iPad with pix. If there...
