The hotel was not only great but its a great hotel, it is in Amsterdam a safe haven as thankfully near the ferry port and across the river to Amsterdam Centraal. There where you need to go is not far away.

The staff were amazing - so helpful so attentive anything you need it was great! Quiet area so no issue - ferry is literally few steps away to the central station. Loved the hotel - eclectic vibes kinda funky ! Loved our stay and would return! Thanks for everything!

The hotel had a fun musical vibe. With record players in the room and dance lights in some of the elevators. The hotel was very conveniently located close to the free ferry that took you across to the centraal train station and access to the city. One of the best parts was the cool restaurant at the top of the hotel called The Moon. It revolved around slowly to view the river and other city views. The food and staff were great. Not too expensive either. The other restaurants there were good too and had a casual, fun vibe as well. When we checked in they offered us a beverage right at check in. We had Heineken! Great experience at The Sir Adam.

This hotel had a few benefits that were important as a traveler and it was lackluster in other ways. It has a great location and is easy to reach from the main train station. The free ferries that run 24 hours keep it simple and easy to reach the central part of the city while keeping the chaos at bay for your stay. That said, the rooms are SMALL, and while we paid up front to upgrade, i felt staff was trying to have us pay more on arrival for the upgraded room. The cleaning staff does a great job but the desk staff is slow and awkward. The building has some rooftop activity that was NEVER explained by staff. Overall the stay was fine but I feel there are better hotels available.

My first negative review of my 23 day holiday. Stayed at sir adam for 5 nights, this was our very disappointing last stop. Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. Staff when we got there were helpful, otherwise it seemed no one knew what they were doing. The discounted $26 USD breakfast was a joke: 2 small drinks, a bread basket, and one SMALL plate of your choice. I ordered pancakes, got 2 tea-cup plate size, tough pancakes. My husband got french toast - one small piece of frwnch toast bread. For $26 a person, regular non discount $28. For 4 of the 6 nights there were carts parked in the elevator hallway. There are water issues in the building, when our shower was running our sink made a lot of noise, and the sink dropped constantly. Nothing else in or directly related to he hotel was included or discounted with our stay (Adam lookout, vr place), which was really disappointing. We ordered room service from the in building restaurant (another place no one seemed to know what was going on) and only half of it arrived. We should have paid half of what we did for this. It was a place to sleep.

Great location, opposite the station and a lovely 5 min ferry ride across the IJ. The hotel was quite stylish and we loved the lifts - much fun was had singing karaoke or dancing on the disco floor. We had a corner room but the view was mainly of the This is Holland building next door so rather disappointing. The bathroom had full size windows next to the shower and opposite the loo, which I hated! The room was an ok size and was quite well-equipped, but the turntable for playing vinyl was rubbish, so we used our own portable Sonos instead. The wardrobe was miniscule and contained just 3 hangers for 2 people, so we had to request more and were given another 2. Still not enough, so had to ask for more. Service just felt a bit meh at times. Breakfast was ok, but vastly overpriced. Yes, the views from the revolving restaurant are great, but there was limited choice on the menu. The pastries and juices were absolutely fantastic but we were served tiny cups of coffee and were told we'd have to pay to order more. Staff were friendly enough and the downstairs bar was quite pleasant, but expensive.
