Charming House by the Sea in Liguria (Cinque Terre, Porto Venere, Lerici by Boat)

Villa Vecchia Fontana is a Tuscan-style stone farmhouse over 300 years old, a home brimming with charm and history. It is a cool, historic house featuring original beams, marble floors, and balconies. Great attention has been paid to detail, renovating the house in a way that preserves the special character of this magical place. The garden is fragrant with jasmine, roses, bougainvillea, lavender, and cypress trees. The terrace features a shaded dining area with a very large marble table. There’s no better place to sit outside at night and savor a good bottle of wine.

The house offers views of beautiful green forests, a glimpse of the sea, and the village. The air is alive with the sounds of birds and wildlife, and the mountain smells of wild rosemary, thyme, juniper, and fennel. In spring, the entire garden is covered in jasmine and its wonderful scent.

We have five bedrooms (including two with en-suite bathrooms) and four bathrooms (one outdoor bathroom), for a total of 10 beds, but it is also possible to accommodate 11 guests. The kitchen is spacious, featuring a large table, a gas stove, an oven, and a large fireplace. The living room has another fireplace, as well as comfortable armchairs and sofas.

There is a small sandy beach with a beach club in the village. Fiumaretta is very close by and offers fantastic sandy beaches. You can also easily rent a motorboat in the village and cruise to the stunning islands and villages (Cinque Terre, Porto Venere, Lerici, Isola Palmaria, Isola del Tino, and Tinetto).
