Beautiful place to stay in a wonderful location for grassmere. Mike, the proprietor, was extremely helpful and friendly. A lovely chap. I couldn't recommend the establishment highly enough.

Lovely place to stay in Grasmere, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was super clean and looked completely brand new with some great toiletries. Just a super relaxing stay.

Absolutely stunning views from our room which was very cosy. Staff are friendly very responsive definitely go check out there cafe in town Freda & Ray best breakfast I have had in a while.

I stayed in the Alcock Tarn suite. Totally gorgeous overall - the bed and pillows were super comfy. The rain shower and rolltop bath were brilliant and the sofa in the living room great for chilling with a book. The fridge allowed for snacks and drinks. Will be back!

Excellent stay, super comfy beds and great facilities. Mike made us feel really welcome and really went above and beyond to make our stay great. One note is that the wifi doesn’t work so well in the ground floor bedroom we stayed in but it was such a minor point as the rest of our stay was perfect.

Fab views from Chestnut Villa.

Lovely stay at Chestnut Villa. Room was well furnished. Bed was very comfy. Had a little sitting room. Bathroom was fab with great fixture and fittings. Rain shower was amazing. Great views both out of the back and front windows.

I stayed in the Helm Crag room which has fantastic views of the surrounding hills. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the shower superb. The whole room is immaculate and super clean. I didn’t want to leave! The owner was very welcoming and helpful and easy to contact if you have any queries. I would recommend highly.

Very well presented room. Delicious breakfast! A very friendly welcome from the staff. Conveniently located for Grasmere village and a walk up to Stone Arthur & Great Rigg. Close to the A591 which made it very easy to find but a little bit noisy, which wasn't a problem for us but may annoy some. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Excellent

Right on the edge of Grasmere village, a maximum 10 minute walk. Suite was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Two pubs within walking distance, the best being the Travellers Rest, excellent food. One thing to note, no breakfast is included with this accommodation but you do get a discount at a good local 'cafe'.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Chestnut Villa. The room was simply beautiful, spacious, in great condition and spotlessly clean. It had great amenities, also. Everything you could need was provided in the room. The area itself was stunning and our view was exceptional. I think any of the rooms in the house would have a fantastic view as the house was surrounded by beautiful peaks and the gorgeous Herdwick sheep - just a perfect vista to wake up to early morning. The village with its little shops and eateries was a 5 minute stroll away. Our host Michael was great. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
