"This was our second year to stay at the Alma Mountain Get-away, and it was delightful again. The accommodations are beautiful and substantial. We had all we could need and want. The home is wonderful for our family; everyone had plenty of space and privacy. We are grateful."

"Early check-in was available, which made a real difference on a holiday weekend. We arrived, dropped our bags, and got straight out to explore — that kind of flexibility is rare and genuinely appreciated.Everything was exactly as advertised. Photos are accurate, the amenity list is honest, and nothing felt like a bait-and-switch. The kitchen was genuinely well-stocked — not just the basics, but thoughtful touches like humidifiers for the altitude, robes and slippers for the hot tub, and quality cookware. We cooked full meals and had everything we needed.The furniture was comfortable and the layout worked really well for a group of three. The views are the headline. The hot tub on the deck facing the mountains is everything you'd hope for on a cold mountain evening. We used it every night.Location-wise, you can't beat it. Downtown Alma is a short walk, Fairplay is 6 miles down the road, Breckenridge is 16 miles north, and trailheads — including Kite Lake with access to multiple fourteeners — are within 20 minutes. We hiked two days and barely had to think about logistics.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-run, dog-friendly mountain cabin with serious views and easy access to everything the area has to offer."

"The cabin is wonderfully secluded. The heated floors, well-equipped kitchen, and stereo with CD collection were all hits with us. Unfortunately our travel plans were impacted by work and life, but the cabin was great and we hope to return again soon!"

"What can I not say. This place was everything. The WELCOME BOOK Explained everything so please read that first. Liz and Mike were very easy to get ahold of. The cabin was so beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Colorado. And I would definitely stay here again. I’m sad I forgot to write in the book . This place had everything you need. We cooked most days but even days we didn’t Breckenridge was on 20 mins down the road. We truly had fun. Thanks Liz and Mike"

Expansive Alma Cabin w/ Hot Tub & Mountain Views!

"Overall our stay was very good. We had ten adults for a family Thanksgiving and everyone had a great time. The house is nestled in the mountains (10,800 very high be careful), super beautiful scenery and we saw a moose! The house was large enough to accommodate all of us, the hot tub worked well. The game and TV room downstairs was awesome for football, cards and fun times! The outside area is beautiful, great walks and our dogs loved it! The kitchen worked, but is on the small side for a lot of people. It is well stocked but very disorganized and really needs to be cleaned out. There is a ton of old food in the cupboards as well. I didn’t give five stars because the house REALLY needs some TLC. The kitchen appliances need to be replaced. The stove top doesn’t work well, the oven door is broken, the kitchen sink water flow is awful! I’m not sure if it’s a pump issue or a clogged filter but it needs to be addressed asap. There is a definite leak in the upstairs shower and water runs into the foyer through the ceiling light when it runs. I saw this on a review from a few years ago and feel like this is an important issue to fix as it is damaging the floor and ceiling and could be a liability with rot, mold etc. There are some outlets that do not work, fire hazard, one of the lamps in the master has a broken switch so cannot be used. The space heaters are a nice touch for those who are cold, but they can blow a breaker, there is a note about this but it’s badly faded!"
