「All staffs are very friendly and helpful from checkin staff Xiao Wu, hotel manager, restaurant staffs & all the drivers. Xiao Wu very patiently went through the tour routes based on how much time we have with a lovely hand-drawn cute map. We had a lovely stay despite the unexpected road works. But hotel had proactively arranged the pickup at road work section to provide us a worry free experience. We are very lucky to have a free upgrade to a lovely 270 degree Mountain View lodge, No 11...

「Nice to be right on the river and basically right in Ancient town. Unfortunately my room didn’t have much of a view. There was no daily room cleaning or additional water/tea. Breakfast was traditional.」

「Large modern room with comfortable bed and separate bathtub & shower. Quiet location. Staff do not speak English, which is typical even for Western branded hotels in China. My room smelled a bit like sulfur, strongest near the toilet, but common areas did not. Air conditioner did not work. When reported to front desk, the complaint was met with a shrug. A bit of a walk from the historic area, but a gated walkway serves as a shortcut. 」
