"From the moment we walked into the entrance of the Granvia Hotel in Okayama, the magic began. We were greeted with wide smiles and a “happy to see you!” vibe. The one downer was that the luggage we had sent to this hotel was only partially delivered. The wonderful young lady at the front desk (Sato, Sumire) was very sympathetic and went out of her way to help us find the missing luggage. She called “Sagawa” delivery service and informed them of their mistake. The lady from Sagawa told us that our bag was still in Osaka and that it would be delivered the next day. Fortunately, I had an “Apple Air Tag” in the bag and knew the bag was in their Okayama distribution center. Our missing luggage was delivered to our hotel room within a few hours. We will highly recommend this hotel (Grandvia Okayama) to all our friends and anyone who asks. Again, please send our personal thanks to Ms. Sato, Sumire for her help and kindness. "This is a completely new facility in an old warehouse district of Sakate on Shodoshima. Right on the water, the views from the hotel are stunning. The staff is courteous, helpful, and professional. The rooms are spacious, with sitting areas and balconies, but also a bit quirky in design. We had one dinner at the hotel and two breakfasts. The food was excellent--and reasonably priced. I would happily return to this hotel, given the opportunity."
