"upgraded to a suite beach house sandsend excellent thank you.the brasserie food we thought was overpriced for instance we had chicken kyffs compared to a meal deal from m and s at £15 for the same meal which also included veg and a sweet.the staff were very helpful and friendly."

"Great hotel, nice clean room, a bit on the small side but more than adequate for a 1 night stay. Breakfast was quite nice with a decent selection of food. Staff were pleasant although I did have to ask twice for a receipt for a coffee I bought from the bar. The server inadvertently put the receipt in the till and went on to serve someone else."

"Very old building, cold room. Decor was dated, room was spacious. Conveniently located for city centre, but not worth the cost."

"Was easy to find and a convenient location to access the centre of Middlesbrough, including the football stadium if you are there for a game. Room was good value for money - only comment is it had a small kitchen area but no wardrobe to hang up clothes..,not the biggest issue as it was only an overnight stay. Very helpful that there is parking behind the hotel that you can pay for at reception - a very reasonable fixed price for 24 hours. "
