A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested. "Great view of the lake but a bit away from anywhere if you like to dine out. It was out of season so the in house menu options were limited and tourist focussed. Lovely breakfast and the room was great. "

"Hotel manager is very kind and funny but hotel is ratjer rundown. Feels like a 3 star hotel that has seen its best years already. Rooms are dusty, breakfast tables not wiped, every step you will see sth broken. But that is a picture we whitness nowadays in most previously highly rated hotels. Due to Covid and lock down there was no money to maintain the hotels. The humidity in sri lanka quickly destroys materials so they need constant maintenance."
