「Honestly the best hotel stay I have had in the Lake District. The hotel is the most dog friendly hotel I have ever came across. All of the team were attentive and welcoming. We will be returning and will be recommending to all our friends and family! ♥️🐾」

「This was the most incredible stay I could have asked for! The breakfast was lovely, the home felt very cozy, and she had the fire lit every evening for a warm and welcoming sitting area. The only thing I would say is, as a Uni student with no car, plan with bus routes! They only come around every hour, and the BnB is a bit remote. A lovely view of the lake, the gardens, the chickens, and the neighbors sheep! I will absolutely come here again :) 」

Nicely decorated hotel and Jacob and the lady, I didn't get the name of, in the bar/restaurant were very welcoming and friendly, a credit to the hotel.I'm 43 now so if I have got Jacobs name wrong please accept my apologies. Food was excellent too and reasonably priced . 」

「This was my first trip solo with the pooch, and it was brilliant. The staff were amazing and helped me every step of the way. Upgraded on arrival, rooms very clean and food incredible. 」

「The Potter suite that I was staying in had the most beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. My comfortable room was being cleaned every day. I can also recommend the bathtub in which I took very relaxing baths. The staff is friendly and accommodated to all of our needs and were overall just very helpful. Taking morning walks to the lake is also something that I enjoyed doing a lot. The hotel truly has a magical garden. I will definitely come back to the Derwentwater Hotel when I visit the...
