"Location is close to bowling, pools, billiards good restaurants. Rooms are clean and nicely renovated. Bathrooms have interesting on off see through glass. I wish there was a switch for because if you bump the door it becomes see through. Or a lock on the bathroom door?"

"Is exactly as advertised. It is in the country about a half a kilometre from the lake. There are horses, dogs & cats to enjoy. My room was spacious & comfortable. There’s also a common room & a common kitchen with your personal mini fridge. The hostess offered to prepare breakfast & dinner, presumably for a fee but I travel self-sufficient & was very comfortable preparing my own meals & dining in the common area & in the beautifully set up lawn area on the day the weather complied. "Loved my 2 nights stay. Very comfortable and unique room - in the spirit of Barkerville. Conveniently in heart of town - no need to drive anywhere once there. Staff were so friendly and helpful and breakfast was perfect with option for tea and cookies during the day to take a break. A must stay when visiting Barkerville. "
