「The most beautiful view surrounded us!」

「Cons: I arrived at normal check in hours and no one was there to let me in. I had to call and wait for someone to show up. My shower water was ice cold. I had to call to get that fixed too. It would be nice to have a fan in the bedroom. Pros: Very polite and helpful staff, fixed my problems quickly, location, Light breakfast snacks are set out every morning. Massage chair.」

「This review is relevant to the area. It was our 1st trip to AK & we wanted to go inside the state - driving. Mc Carthy Lodge resort is located in St. Elias/Wrangel NP. That Park is wilderness. This hotel (I wouldn't call it a resort no matter it's located) It's a converted motel that was originally used as housing for the copper miners. It was our 1st experience with a shared bathroom. The bathroom was always clean & stocked. The decor is quaint & clean. Depending on the room there's a sink in...

「Authentic alaskan cabin experience. Fred was very hospitable; gave us tips about places to see and he cooks a great breakfast!」
