A very clean hotel with an enthusiastic staff ready to help. Our room was made available to us early, which was great. It was also an upgrade and looked out onto the river.

Hjelle Hotel
Beautiful location, convenient to many great tourist sites if traveling by car. Hassle free parking and awesome breakfast included in price. Very efficient staff in a well run facility. Innkeeper was especially helpful and knowledgeable with suggestions regarding local activities.

Driving into Hjelle through the lakeside tunnel was magical. This repurposed schoolhouse was a fantastic place to experience old-world Norwegian living. Loved the nook beds and touches of history.
