The property was clean and very comfortable, super cozy - it genuinely felt like home. The scenery was to die for and it was in close proximity to all the fun and adventurous activities. The host family was extremely nice and very helpful. There’s a nice restaurant about 5 minutes from the property, including a grocery store; there is also a cafe about 2 minutes away driving or less than 10 minutes walking distance.

We stayed at this property in September of 2023 and loved it so much that we returned in July for a longer stay. Kari-Ann was a wonderful host who checked in with us throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. The views from the cabin were amazing! We look forward to staying here again when we return to Norway.

This was the best place we stayed in Norway. The cottage was very nice, but the views were spectacular. We went swimming in the lake and had a bonfire. It was amazing.

Remarkable view!!

Remarkable view from our cabin. Could be the most beautiful and peaceful place I have stayed. Figuring out where to check in was a little confusing but they were friendly and the cabin was wonderful. Would stay again without question.

Wonderful property with a well-appointed kitchen/dining room and large bathroom. The apartment was immaculate and the host was friendly and accommodating when we informed them we would arrive later in the evening. I wish we had booked it for a longer stay.

We just loved this cabin on the water with a view of the glaciers. Well appointed with lots of basic essentials offered (coffee filters, oil, foil). The owner greeted us and gave us a quick tour. We were very sad to only have 1 night and not get to use the bbq, kayaks or to enjoy the deck. Highly recommend this place.

I loved everything about this place. Spacious, comfortable, clean and the owner family were very helpful and kind. We had access to bicycles and boats. I cannot emphasize on the beauty of the scenery. I wish I can go there again.

My family stayed at Vollsnes Feriehus this August and it was by far our favorite place we stayed during our trip to Norway! Simply put, it was one of the most picturesque places we have ever stayed! The cabin was beautifully decorated, the host family was warm and inviting, the view from our deck was stunning, and we all had fun using the kayaks, paddleboards, and row boat. We only had a 2 night reservation and wish we could have stayed longer! Would absolutely love to return!! Can't recommend this place enough!

We had a very nice 2 night stay in a cabin next to the lake. The proprietor greeted us, showed us the way to the cabin, told us where we could get dinner that evening, and came over the next morning to tell us that the road we planned to take to Geiranger to go on a fjord cruise was closed due to snow overnight. He was a wonderful host! The cabin itself was very nice, with a comfortable, albeit softer than we’re used to, bed. The bathroom had good water pressure for the sink and shower. No washcloths were provided, but this seems to be common in Norway accommodations. The clothes washer worked well. There was no clothes dryer, but a drying rack was provided. Our cabin was in a beautiful setting and we would stay here again if we ever visited this area of Norway again.

This is an unbelievable property. The venue is tough to top, on a secluded bay that you feel like you have to yourself. The rooms have an authentically rustic charm and are very comfortable. The hotel's public facilities are outstanding - from the great restaurant, outdoor seating area, and sauna/spa, to the upstairs aquavit bar. That's actually my one complaint - they didn't tell us about it on checkin, and we only discovered it our last night, after it closed. We would certainly have gone there. Staff was quite helpful.

These cabins are a hidden gem, about 25 minutes away from Stryn. Top things about it: 1. It’s quiet, peaceful and you feel far away from daily life. 2. The hosts are lovely and very helpful. 3. There’s a kitchen, barbecue and fire pit, so you have many options for eating (as well as for dining out, though that’s further away). 4. There’s a Joker mini market about 7 minutes’ drive away for groceries. The kitchen is fully equipped and there’s a dining table. 5. You’re right in the middle of a beautiful national park, with plenty of walking, boating and outdoor activities nearby. 6. You have access to the lake on your doorstep, there are kayaks and dinghies you can use (with life jackets available). Particular recommendations in the area are the Via Ferrata at Loen, Niggardsbreen glacier, and the many waterfall walks nearby. If you like peace and quiet and the great outdoors, this place is for you!
